Just speed-read through your whole thread before it gets out of hand like mine

What is your overall/final plan for the Jeep? Where do you see it in 3 years?

I know I saw mine on 33s or 35s... boy was I wrong

Thanks Tony. I know it will get out of hand, but just over some paint here, a small bolt on there...

Where do I see it in 3 years. I see it getting thrown on some jackstands. Seriously. My eventual plan is to get the real build started right after college. I do want some Savvy rocker guards with a proper step right after I sell my Hard Top though.

Here is a small breakdown of the plan:

Highlined MCE Flatties
Trimmed Rear
Savvy Corner Armor
Savvy Front Bumper (hopefully sometime this year)
Rear Hitch Bumper/air tank with OBA setup (I already have the regulator and a few gauges)
Savvy Sliders listed above
~2"-3" Currie lift with progressive rate coils and adjustable shocks
ZJ Tie Rod
Vanco Brakes
Chromos with 5.13's (I would like 5.38, but I wouldn't waste money on an ARB locker so I could do it)
35"s (probably Wrangler MT/Rs) Siped
Monstaliner (pretty soon)
Hydro Assist (Flatlander style)
Savvy, UFC, or Custom Flat TT/Engine Skid with dimpled tub and lowpro tranny mount
Wheel Spacers and possibly a Beadlock kit for the Moabs (I love these rims).
If I get really ambitious, a 2.8L Liberty CRD or 3.3 Cummings.

There is probably a lot I am not thinking of. I doubt I will build the drivetrain at my uncle's. He has a 318 and a 360 with the rest of the drivetrain from a power wagon. D60 f/r or d60/70 combo. If I do that, it would be 42"s all the way.

you have some expensive taste kid, i however have one year left of college until total breakdown, when i can fully build the one i have now and buy a Rubicon fully done

Hell yeah I have expensive taste. Do it right or not at all.

It is still cheaper than Tubes F/R, new carrier for 5.38"s, CV shafts for the front axle, Rubi Crawler, Good Long Arm and other goodies like spyderlocks.

You don't need all that to have a fun capable rig. Start simple, and slowly build your way, like what im doing, but im learning everything the second time over and getting better at what works and what doesn't.

I don't think I could drop all that coin all at once. My real plan is to start with brakes, shafts, steering, and the fenders. Doing things slowly, ya know. The Rubi is a VERY capable rig as is.

Glad to see you got another TJ and this time it's Rubi, you will be really happy with the lockers and the 241, my friend has a Rubi and the lockers and 241 are amazing.

Yeah the 241 would be way too low here in FL, but I've used his Rubi on steep hills and rocks in MI and the 241 is

Well, I got to flex a little before my final today:


Still didn't fully flex the front, and I am almost positive the rear still had .5" to go before it was bumpstopped.

I see two things wrong in both pictures, first off the passenger side vent visor is broke, and missing a piece and secondly your gas door cover is on wrong, just saying lol, just bustin your balls
