In reference to the D44 standard on Sahara controversy. A lot of dealers optioned out the Saharas by including the 30" tire and wheel package which included the D44 as part of the package. Consequently Saharas usually hit the lots with the 30" tire and wheel package. It was not standard though. A guy I work with has a Sahara with the standard alloy wheels and tires and the D35 rear end.

I had to special order my 99 sport with the 30" tire/wheel/D44 package because D44 equiped Jeeps were fairly rare on dealer's lots at the time. In fact the dealership owner I bought my Jeep from told me that up to that point he didn't know much about the D44 option and very few people had special ordered it. He said he never ordered it for stock because he did not think it was necessary. I told him that the majority of people buying Wranglers didn't need a D44 rear but that there was a small group of potential customers like myself that would buy a Wrangler with the intent of modifying it for use off road. I explained why it was a good option for a Jeep buyer to get. He then asked me if I would like to sell Jeeps for him. Told him no, I already had job.

Is that a Rusty's cross-over steering? If so, how do you like it?

honestly bro its real tuff and is great off-road however if you drive onroad alot i advise against it. ill be sellin mine soon as the way its made it has a small amount of play in the wheel before the tires move so handling feels messy sometimes. but for the price you cant realy complain
