I know, I know... I'm just not a big fan of drilling holes in my body tub.

You shouldn't have to. There should be enough of a gap between the antenna mount and the tub to sneak the coax thru.

I got a few another project done on my jeep today, finally got a OEM center console sub enclosure in and took my getto home made one out. The OEM one is nice, I got a bit more room inside for storage of sun glasses and other small crap. I also got my $4 jeep hitch cap in the mail today.

Got my wife a Newer car, finally found a car that she likes. Also installed rancho RS9000XL shocks on my jeep. Rides 100% better that the RC n2.0 shocks.

My build will be coming to a stop for a few months. Soon I will be going back to Afghanistan again, but when I get back I will get me some kick a$$ Savvy control arms, wheels and tires, or one of the many other things I want to do... Also need to pay off my wife's VW Tiguan as well.

Few more days till I leave for work, but today going for a bike ride. I got a Yakima hitch rack for my wife's Tiguan, but had to try it on the jeep to see if it clears the spare tire. Glad to see that it does.

Made it home and relaxed for a few days. But, today I did do 1 quick project. I installed my Delrin Door Bushings. I took a few pics in case anyone wants to see how its done.

I started with removing the doors. The factory door bushings are 2 pieces, metal sleeve with a plastic inner lining. Using a small screwdriver I removed the inner lining and pushed it out the bottom of the hinge. Next, using the same small screwdriver and a hammer I punched the metal sleeve out the top.

Before installing the Delrin Bushings, I used some 400 grit sandpaper and cleaned out the hinge. The Delrin Bushing should push in with your fingers, not be hammered in, as stated in the directions. After cleaning the hinge, just pressed the bushings in with my thumb. Put the doors back on and all done.

Crawled. Thanks for an awesome build thread.

I'm interested in the same kind of overland/expedition build to pull a camp trailer with a 2004 TJ. Check out "Mark Doiron" on Youtube, he's a retired USAF CMSgt and has some great vids. His build list is on JK forums under the same name.

No work on the Jeep, just put it up an jack stands. But put some Carbon handlebars, Stem, Bar Ends, Seat Post, and Bottle Cages on my Trek Bike. Also Jagwire cables!
