It replaces the stock rear cross member, strengthening the frame in the process.

Yes, it will add considerable strength to your frame.

It's a Gen-Right tank. The factory tank can be "massaged" for additional clearance if needed for a minor stretch.

I found another company out there making tanks. I saved the link somewhere, but now I can't find it. I refuse to buy another Genright product unless there is absolutely no other option.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Did you ever call, e-mail, or do anything to get in touch with genright about the windshield guards?

It's the design. It's a crap design and crap qc. It's just a shame I couldn't hold one in my hands before I paid. It's still a sore spot. No I didn't call them and I won't. If they can't take the time to check the poor fitment, they don't deserve the chance to make it right. I'll just accept it and botch about it.

It's a shame that they didn't fit well, but I have a feeling that you just got a bad set. IMO you should have talked to them about it. Check posts #19 and #21 of this thread:

I don't mean to come off rude or anything, I just would have liked to atleast hear what they would do before you turned against the company. Either way, the jeep turned out really well! Congrats on getting it put together, can't wait to see it on the trails.

Man... I wish I had seen that BEFORE I got my new bumper. I Truely love my new one (made by BESRK), but that rear crossmember would have surely made the decision a hard one. Have you guys made one with a reciever, or thought about it? Have you heard of any being rear ended, and the how resistant they are to bending?

Once again James, sorry for the hijack.

No we don't offer them with a receiver. We built them to add stength and decrease departure angle so a receiver would hurt the second goal. They are built of 3/16" plate so they are pretty sturdy. We also make one that works with a 1" body lift. It closes up the gap between the tub and the frame so everything looks clean.

Now back to the Pumpkinator!

While usually I am the last one to knock a company, and almost always one to give a second chance to make it right... I am rather disgusted by how poorly
they were cut, the radius bends didn't match, the fitment was poor, and
because they sent some dinky *** screw to "hold" the top in the poor fitment pulled it back through the sheet metal. If there were another company making them, I would waste the money I paid to genright and mail mine back to them for free with a note saying "you try it".

Maybe it's not that big of a deal out in SoCal but in the Midwest, with the mud/salt/everything else it's not excusable. And yeah it's a jeep. But it's MY jeep and with all of the time, effort, money put into it, I feel like a company that big shouldn't need reminded how to qc their crap. You almost expect that from a smaller place, not from someone bragging about how big their facility is on their site.

I'm debating a fuel cell in the future, just so genright doesn't get any more of my money from an EXT tank.

Hey man. I love your jeep, and your Build thread. BTW its good to see that you came back home nice and safe, and I'd like to thank you for putting your life ( and build lol) on hold to serve our country. Thanks man

On topic. Why would you want to put in a fuel cell? Im not knocking it, but I am just curious.

thanks again
