If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did you snag on those d44's? I see 4wd has locked d44's for 2500 rear, 3k front with chromoly shafts and axle tubes stronger than factory. They even sell d60's locked, same price for the rear, 2500 front with currie parts, and 1 ton steering. The other advantage is that they come geared with any gears you want pretty much, and they are bolt in (minus front nuckles, need to reuse d30 knuckles)

Can't wait to see the JK axles go in. What gears are you going to run for those 35"s? 4.88, 5.13?
Again, the dana 30 can only go to 4.88s same with the 35.

No i disagree, the dana 30 can go to 5.13s but it has to be a JK Dana 30

Late start today. On one of the days when I needed it to be early. Yay for hangovers.

JK axles and TJ axles are nothing alike, so there is no point in actually comparing them. I managed to get my front axle for 2000. It came with two 15" JK soft 8's, and a rock krawler tie rod. That was a decent enough deal. However, I ended up paying an additional 500 bucks just to get it back to my house. So, while still priced cheaper than new, it could have been much better. I got the rear for 1300 shipped. That was great. So in the end, after the debacle with the front, I ended up doing alright. Anyways, time to get to work. Today is suspension/axles/welding.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Turns out those 5.13's are for JK axles, so they wouldn't work, back to figuring out 2 axle swaps.

That wasn't that bad of a deal overall. What gears are they running, and are you going to have to regear? Your going to run the eLockers that come in them I presume? Get going on those axles, it is time to make some real progress here. How are you going to paint them, just black paint?
Don't forget LOTS of pic

Looks like he is going to do it the other way around. Run the T&T Longarm kit, with RC Shocks and coils.

I just was not sure if you could run the long arms with only 2.5" of lift.

Yes you can, after I had his lower arms in and looking at the angles, it is a little on the tight side being that low of a lift w/long arms but is gonna work out real nice.

Hey Robert good times tonight I heard after. Left you guys mocked up the front. Sorry I couldn't hang but I needed to see my family. I will try to get back in there for the rest but next week is crazy. Though I'd say I played my part gettng that upper shock nut nice and stuck so James could cut it off. Your xj is looking great man I love those 33" truxus. Let me know how they ride

You can. Here's one with our long arms and 1.75". This one was James's inspiration!

Thanks man, the tires ride great, Even Smoke commented on how quiet they are. Who knew Super Swamper actually has a MT that doesn't scream at you
