Project Zomb*tch - Northern's 2013 JK Build

Made the swap from a WJ to JK like most others lol Always wanted a wrangler and when the opportunity came to get into one I jumped on it. Bought this black 2013 Sport 6-speed from the lot with only a few miles on her, with the intent of making it a moderate build to suit my needs.

So far mod list includes:

Installed
RC 1.75" BB
31" Duratracs
OE Steelies painted Gunmetal
Chopped flares
SOLID D30 Cover hand painted green
Home fabbed front mid width bumper with stigner/shackle mounts/6" 100w lights
Home fabbed rear bumper
Home fabbed .188w sliders
Home fabbed windshield light mounts w/ 6" 100w lights
Home fabbed hood mounted Hi-Lift
Home fabbed quick disco's
Home fabbed auxiliary fuse box
Cobra CB w/ 4' Stainless whip
1500w Power Inverter in mini trunk
Smittybilt G.E.A.R. tailgate storage
Mesh grill mod
Silvania Silverstar XFE headlights (better, but still sh!tty)

Waiting in garage for install
Rock Krawler 2.5" Stock Mod w/ massive trackbar
Bilstein 5100's
Rock Krawler correction wedges and coil retainers
Teraflex rear end links
Teraflex grab handles
EVO MFG LCA skids
EVO MFG C-gussets
LED light strips for rock lights
Aux. Back up lights
AEV Geometry Brackets
Summit "Soft 8's" 15x8"

Next order
Teraflex exhaust spacers
35x12.5R15 GY MTR/K

Soon After
Adams driveshafts

So cute

Now

As soon as it hit my driveway I got the urge to do some stuff to it. I wonder why?

Started off by painting the stock steelies Gunmetal and installing the Duratracs from my previous WJ. Decent DD setup. Also made my own quick discos with clevis pins.

Built a Hi-Lift Hood Mount

Got tired of looking at it, being so small with such massive plastic pieces... so I busted out the sawsall.

Always good to have a shovel handy!

Built some brackets and wired up some 100w windsheild lights just before my camping/fishing trip.

The next day my buddy showed up, we hopped in the Jeep and went wheelin. Being stock this thing went everywhere. Sadly this is my only pic, long story short, trees 7' apart + wet boulders + 14psi =

Fun stuff, but it lead us to the top of the mountain

Got myself into some water with no doors so out came the front carpet, painted the shovel handle black

Mesh grill mod

Don't have a tube bender and wanted doors so I made these

Got started on my front bumper, not quite finished yet still need some shackle mounts to get rid of the stock tow hooks and shovel, incorporate my fog lights and get tubing for a stigner. Not that heavy actually, prob 35-40lbs. 3/16 steel with 3 brace points inside.

Once I get a winch I'll either put it on top of the bumper or sell this one and build another with a sunken winch.

Didn't think I'd have time to finish the rear since I went fishing all day Saturday but I managed to get it done.

Been a while since last update. Bought myself a tube bender so I finished off the stigner for the stubby and put it up for sale, built myself a mid width front w/ stigner, added a used 1.75" BB I got for 80$, and got some .188w tubing for the sliders. Hopefully start that this weekend.

Stubby w/ stigner

New bumper

Lots of dents and scrapes

Next up is D44 Solid cover painted same as front, ****tybilt tailgate storage, Cobra CB w/ Firestik, Daystar A-Pillar switch panel with custom rocker switches, ARB On-Boar Air unit to replace the stupid compressor I have and some lighting on the front bumper, might install the rocklights I have as well but it's getting quite cold up north! Staun deflators are in the mix as well.

Can't wait until the Duratracs need replacing, really itching for some 35" Kevlars

Night driving with just OE lights and no fogs was terrible so I put some Silverstar XFE H13s and that alone was night and day, but not enough so I wired up some 100w 6" driving lights to the bumper. Much better!

Took advantage of Black Friday on the southern side of the border.

Rock Krawler 2.5 Stock Mod, Front coil retainers and rear spring correction wedges.
Bilstein 5100's all around
Teraflex rear endlinks and grab handles
EVO C-gussets and LCA skids

And since I bought through Northridge I should get a tree ornament lol

Total savings: Huge considering the rediculous prices in Canada, probably close to 1000$

Finally got around to working on the sliders a bit. Mount boxes are done, most of the tubing is cut and notched. Just need another 5' piece of pipe for the outer rail. Then I get to get them lined up for mounting. May be doing boatsides...

Question is, straight out or angled up to protect body.
