Here are some pics of the frame backhalf, everything isn't finish welded quite yet, and I don't have the fish plates on right now, but I figured I was at a point where I could post some pics.

This is the angle I had to cut on all the pieces.

and then I tacked in the pieces, and rolled the rear axle underneath and tacked it in place as to minimize any warping while welding, and welded up the joints I could get to.

and then took the body off for finish welding.

next comes the fish plating..

Wow, I wish I had the skills to pull something like that off. It's not exactly my cup of tea but I can appreciate all the work. Nice job, keep it coming!

Great build so far. I am truly impressed. I grew a little concerned at your rear section though. You might want to gusset the welds for a little extra reinforcement. Remember, the longer chassis is going to bend and twist more than the original. For the sake of not getting a broken weld....a little gusset work should suffice.

Your build is inspiring a lot of people. Keep up the great work.

Since these pics I have gusseted (fish plated) the joints. I'm not worried at all about the frame strength being an issue now.

I'm just starting a project like this but I plan on stretching the frame 15" before the wheel arch to keep the stock YJ rear. My question, what size tubing did you use? I'm looking for something I can sleeve inside or over the existing frame to weld in. Thanks
