Some of you guys are going to hate me, but for a number of reasons, the jeep went all of 2010 untouched. mainly because I was building a small one-car shop and so all of my income went into the shop, or vacations, also bought a new 4 wheeler etc etc. so the jeep isn't that much farther done than when you saw it last.

However, I have changed some ideas on it like how I am doing the frame (much stronger/better.) but I am going gung ho on the jeep and you guys will see some more posts from me. anyways enough chit chat, I decided on "boat-siding" my sides. Here is some pics from todays work.. Sorry for the year off, and thanks for looking.

Before:

Removing the fender:
(Easy-access hole)

Off:

Removing the paint- (not neccessary, but I did it anyways)

This is where I originally wanted my cut (bottom of masking tape)...

But that wasn't going to work, so I moved it up and then cut..

And out with the old!

Expect more updates tomorrow.

Thanks, I'm glad to be back. It's so much nicer having this shop to work in, there is 8" of snow outside and it's 18 degrees right now. (hence the snow on the hood when I first rolled the jeep in.)

seeing is believing:

So I got the passenger side pretty much all wrapped up for now. I had to go run some errands this morning and get my 1/8" plate for the boatside skin. (this area is also having the 3/8" skidplate come up and cover this area so 1/8" was plenty enough).. anyways enough talk, here are the pics. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the drivers side cut out and welded in all in one day, then onto the body mount alterations..
