Project Wrong way.
Project "Wrong Way"
or, how to build a Jeep backwards...
I started out with this Dodge Ram, I put it up for sale or trade on Craigslist.
I got an offer of a 97 TJ 4cyl for trade on 35's, I took the bait:
Here it is after I got it home.
I thought the front winch bumper looked naked without a winch,
so the first thing I did was add a Mile Marker 12k winch that I had left over from a previous project.
The old faded fenders had been repainted before I got the Jeep, and they looked like crap, so out came the krylon Fusion...
I only did one side of the Jeep because I ran out of paint...
Instead of focusing on the crappy suspension, I decided I needed new tires, so off I went and bought some of the new Mickey baja Claw TTC's...
So, instead of focusing on making my Jeep ride better, or actually steer better, i thought it would be a good idea to spend more money on parts I don't need...
I bought a few more cans of spray paint, and decided to finish painting my fender flares and my rocker guards.
So I finally decided to try to fix my steering slop...
I got tired of my spare tire wobling, and it was making my tailgate hard to close, so I decided to get a spare tire carrier...
I always liked the look of jeep with tube fenders, so I ordered front and rear tube fenders for mine, once again neglecting the suspension, and control arms, which is where i should've been spending my money instead...
So... once again, I decided to ignore the suspension, and spend my money on other un needed things... like a radiator hoop and stinger for the front bumper...
Well, like I posted earlier, I purchased both front and rear tube fenders, but before I installed the front fenders I wanted to take my jeep to the inspection station before i did any more alterations to it...
Of course it failed... I pretty much expected it to, but before I spent any more money I wanted the inspector to point out exactly what he wanted to see me replace...
So... now that I got it to pass Va. safety inspection it was time to insall my front tube fenders:
When I first got the Jeep the soft top was really damaged, so I pretty much ran around with it basically in safari top mode, or with out the top at all...
So I decided to order a new soft top for it...
