Project Work-Truck : 87 MJ
Since I finally upgraded my account, it is time to post my first build thread! On Valentines day I finally tracked down an 87 Comanche, after looking it over and seeing it was in great shape I had to have it!
Here's the specs: 1987 MJ Comanche 2wd 4.0L 5 speed/BA-10 I believe 231,000 miles D35 rear ![]() Just re-painted 3 months ago Here are some pictures - none outside yet b/c of snow but soon will have better pics. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Then had to spruce up the front end a little bit. Headlights were worn out, one was pushed in at a funky angle, and everything was faded. Hit it with some Krylon Fusion...

I put manual XJ seats with the curved tracks in mine. The mounting brackets aren't the same, so you'll have to swap those. But as long as you can give it some power, I don't see any reason why it would be that difficult.
I'm jealous of how clean yours is. Mine is going to take a lot of work just to get where you started. Last edited by rymanrph; 02-22-2010 at 12:40 PM.. |
