Ive been working on finishing up the backend after i put the box and subs in. Heres some pictures of it about halfway done and mocked up. The board will be hinged and will be able to open up with the removal of the trim piece under the hatch. But for quick access, im putting a porthole in it with a lid. I have to cut a hole on the other side and screen it to allow the amp to breathe and it will be carpeted to match the box as well.

The other thing, as you can see by the first picture, is that i need to paint the inside of the box black in the back corners so the ports look better.

Nice man I like your sub set up! The storage compartment came out nice too. I finally pulled out that compartment thing jeep made and built my own. Ill post a picture maybe it will give you an idea for yours. I did mine in less than an hour, it was suppose to be just a mock up but it fit and works so I left it in for now but I want to make a cleaner version and my drawer bigger. You going to carpet it or do anything to cover the wood?

Yeah I've got carpeting to match the box to hopefully give it a clean look. And for sure post your pics up, I'd love to see other ideas.

Nice I painted mine to match the trim color but I have a plastic mat that came with the jeep so it covers the whole box anyways. I just cut some slits in the sides so it folds up and I can get to the drawer. I really want to get some of the subs that they have been coming out with lately were you don’t need any air room or mounting space and try and build them in. I also thought about ditching the mat and hurculiner it but the mats convenient and easy to clean if I put anything muddy back there. Im in class for the night so ill take some pics tomorrow when it’s sunny. I wish we lived closer, I wana check your WK out haha

Saguaro 4xComponents is appearantly working on one...i dont have the knowledge or guts to do something like that yet. If Saguaro comes out with something, I might just have to add it to my list though!

I cut two holes to help keep the amp cool and carved out the shape of chicken wire with a dremel (yeah it took a long time) then put the screen in so the carpeting wouldnt get punctured. it lays pretty flat and you can really feel it.

Then i carpeted it and painted the porthole black to match. It fits so snug i dont think im going to put a hinge on.

And heres the space ive got inside now!
