Finally got the time to make an interior light cut-off switch. I plugged jumpers in place of the fuse, and added the switch & an inline fuse (replaced with 10 amp - OEM was the same).

It turned out very clean IMO. No intrusion of the glove box, and I can reach it from the drivers seat.

Cost was zero, since I already had the wiring and the switch.

With just over $300 left in the first stage of this project, it's really tempting to jump on Superior D35 axles from
Jeep4x4center.

I'm trying to install stronger parts before they break. See a pattern here?

Tell them (lovingly ) that from now on, you will...
- Not wear your seatbelt (because you're a safe driver)
- Not replace the tires until all four explode (because that's over-preparing)
- Put only enough gas in your tank to get you from one destination to the other, because any more than what's needed is just nonsense.

As much as I like to fly (in helicopters), I'd like to stay away from going airborne over every expansion joint in the TJ. I figured it was the cheap shocks from CarQuest.

So for $4.50, I scored a like-new set of shocks from an XJ. They are a perfect swap. Only difference is the XJ shocks are 1" longer. Perfect for the LCG build (for now). Rides like a dream, and I can put my swaybars back on!

That is the idea. I have no need to own a HUGE Jeep in order to feel special.

My wife and I cannot figure out a name for the jeep.

However, I like Project Low & Slow.

Awesome job! I have treadwright M/T's on my rig. You will be very happy with the quality and performance they will give you. $297 delivered... Thats unheard of for "brand new" tires... My 32" M/T's were $415 delivered, you just cant beat treadwright tires...

Exactly. I plan on using Treadwright's again when I go with the 33s or larger (285/75-16 or 305/70-16).
