I probably rear right over it but what coilovers did you go with? We had tw same thing happen to us out in Moab with the front upper control arm mount ripped off the frame(3 link front end) but the King coil held... I know they are pricy, but you are workin with a heavy setup and on 40's... Just a thought. The Kings were 2.5/8 and held strong
Looks good on the road man! Makes me miss mine! Keep up the build

Did FOA emulsion coilovers. I don't like them one bit. Not a single thing about them. The place who was rebuilding the c/o's said one of the shaft seals looked like it was already worn out. Like, what? They have like less than 300 miles on them.
Front axle is at my ex-gf's dad's shop, hahah. He runs and operates a 4x4 fab shop. Cut/turn. Crappy deal because I had to cut off every single mount off the axle.
Took out the gears (carrier) too, to check for straightness.
But I got hit with some bad bit of luck. Axle, coilovers, and then I got my car impounded for doing a bit of speeding in my car. Totally my fault, obviously, but that's the first ticket I've ever had and now I've been without a car for a week. Then got jumped at the bar, so I pretty much called it quits on dealing with humanity for a bit.
So I've basically been playing the waiting game. In other news I was rummaging through the garage and found some old toys from me as a kid. I think I found my new dash ornament.
Also while I've been waiting I ripped off the upper frame mount so I can put a nicer one one, cleaned up the frame stiffeners and everything, sanded and painted, got the Blazer springs swapped in with my RE shackles.
Not much of an update, sorry guys.

Thanks guys.
Got the axle back, cut and turned and welded. Pinion angle and caster is good now. We'll see how long those pinion bearings last though. Anyway!
Started on my panhard/upper control arm combo mount. Which is why the main piece is so long. You'll see, hopefully by this week. I put a few bends in it, but I want to gusset them. Gonna cut out some portions that aren't necessary so it's not just a big slab of 1/4" plate.
Bought some fancy NWF twin sticks:
pricey as hell but I don't have time right now
http://northwestfab.3dcartstores.com...Kit_p_187.html
Waiting to take my coilovers in still. So many bills are piling up at once so it's like blahaerprpehagafg brain explosion. Stay tuned for the next episode. :P
edit:
don't mind the "stands" by the frame. I have jack stands all around but I couldn't get any up front so I just grabbed some 3/4" plate from work, welded to some 1" blocks on the bottom for stability, and then did three 1-inch uphanders onto the frame on each piece. I think it'll hold just fine.
also, transfercase is back out. I am going to do the shift rail seals in hopes that it will stop leaking (as much). It literally leaves a drip every 10 seconds, just sitting there. After that, install cable shifter brackets, see if I need to notch the crossmember at all, and throw it in.

Badass build going on there man. Stay away from FOA. A buddy of mine had bought an entire set of coilovers from them and they are all junk...

Thanks man!
It was quite the rush. I made another crazy goal and it worked out this time.. I had a couple friends tell me I had set an impossible goal and that it just wasn't doable.
Challenge accepted.
It took a lot, because in the end, in about a week and a half:
- new crossmember mounts
- shifter seals and twin sticks in the D300 (.. the levers are sort of just.. there.. at the moment)
- cut off and rewelded the rear axle leaf perches for new pinion angle and I really wanted it dead square.
- S10 Blazer leaf springs and my RE boomerang shackles
- coilovers got fixed
- new panhard + upper control arm brackets, new lower control arm brackets, coilover mounts (axleside), cut/turn D60, upper control arm mount on the frameside
- reassembled front axle all over again (had the carrier out and all), and rear axle.
- brakes, steering, shock mounts on the rear (shoulda used stovers, lost a nut and the shock came off and was banging on obstacles, so it's toast)
- whole buncha other stuff.
Which is tight for working full time all the while. The whole truck started on jack stands the week before, completely out of commission.
It did well. I bent a leaf spring already, totally made an "S" out of it. The transfercase was popping out of 4Lo in the front so I had to do a few obstacles in 2Lo with a lot of full throttle assaults (traction is pretty bleh here, with my 4:1 I was in 2nd gear most of the time.) Definitely need limit straps and maybe a triple-rate kit. I unseated the coils a few times.
There will be more.

What rear tires are those? They look like grooved Toyo MT's?

Haha yeah that's exactly what they are. I bought them off a local as mock-up tires, but as funds became more and more limited, I've just run them for now. He grooved way, way too deep, it made the carcass (?) way too shallow and weak, so with our harsh terrain here I've managed to rip the rears apart.
Well, tonight the insurance is up on it, and my girlfriend finally talked some sense into me So it's going back into the garage again. Can't keep driving it around the way it is. Needs a sway bar (I just like having a sway bar for the city, it's not fun having to whip a corner and feel tippy), properly done exhaust and exhaust wrap.. and guess it's time to figure out an antiwrap bar, but I really don't want to cut into the floor in the rear passenger seats.
Bought some tube and such for the front fenders, but I'm going to cut out the rear more.
Unfortunately this is going to take a while longer.. I'm in school now, and when I'm not at school I'll be at work or doing homework.
Drove up a wall for fun. Obviously I can go higher, but not having an e-brake, I had to roll back on the gears til they bound up with the motor off.
(also looks like I can definitely drop the frameside track bar, so I might rip off that bracket and make a new one just for shiggles..)
Well. Don't know when I'll get a chance to work on it next but I'll keep in touch.
