A couple things:

1. Dave Ramsey is the man is he not? My wife and I killed about 35k in 18 months once upon a time.
2. Your wife is hot.
3. Sweet Jeep! I have a Silverstone 01 myself & am just in love with the color.
4. Keep up the good work!

The artec truss kit for 8.8 is awesome. It made my swap 100% easier. Congrats on being debt free.

Got my LED lights for the floorboard & dome light today from www.superbrightleds.com . They are basically the same size as the regular bulb, but even in the daylight the floorboard is very well lit. I can't wait to see it at night. It should be "superbright"

I believe I just found my next cb - Uniden Bearcat 880. It will even match my CD player lights and climate control illumination...

Has to be the best looking cb I've ever seen. Much more modern.

So I finally picked up another air box & intake tube off of Craigslist & discovered it was from an '05 or newer and I needed an '04 or older.

One difference was instead of a hose going from the intake tube to the valve cover, the hose went from the air box to the valve cover.

image-241186791.jpg

One other difference was a hole on the backside of the intake tube where something plugs into the intake tube just before the tube turns down into the intake. My 2001 didn't have anything in that spot.

I'm not sure what I'll cover the hole with yet. It's amazing how much quieter it is with the factory setup compared to the junk that was on there before.

I also got my full size spare mounted up. A great Craigslist find for $85.

I should get to order my lift, cb, & rock sliders this weekend. I cannot wait.

high five on the 180k milestone!! I just rolled over 180k myself, cool to see others out there still modding their high mileage rigs

i love those quadratec floor mats, i've looked at them but have always been weary of q-tec products, those look awesome though. I'll have to pick some up. do you have the rear too?

Thanks! No rear mats yet. There is so much more that I want to do Higher on the priority list, but eventually I'll put some back there.

Finally ordered my suspension lift & front sway bar disconnects. Got the best deal from Morris 4x4 in Florida. The best part is that it I ordered it this morning & it will be here Thursday!

I cannot wait to put it on. Hopefully I'll have it done on Saturday. I will definitely be posting photos.

love the 60th anniversary edition! your jeep is clean! also seeing that people are buying them with 150k+ miles makes me feel better about looking at the ones with more miles. congrats on the financial accomplishments as well. I'm now finishing my senior year of high school and will begin my years of college debt!

Thanks. My advice would be do everything you can to avoid it (student loans), even if it means working full time, or as much as possible. Don't buy into the idea that when you graduate you'll be making plenty of money so a student loan payment won't be that big of a deal because that needs to be your monthly saving money for the new jeep you will want! Haha. Good luck!

Building a jeep on a budget can be tough, and doing it without going into debt is even tougher. Cudos to you for having the patience to do it right! Like the mods you've done so far. What lift did you go with?
