Next up is the REDLYNER treatment . Doing a small lift, 32"s, wheel spacers, and a window tint.
Very very very good choice sir

^ That looks sharp!

Irony is that we traded an Overland in on our first H3 . My wife's last few cars:
  • '02 Jeep WJ Overland
  • '06 Hummer H3 base
  • '07 Hummer H3 Offroad Edition
  • '08 Hummer H3 Alpha
  • '08 Jeep WK Overland

I finally got her back to the dark side .

Love my Tundra as well. Wish it got better MPG, but for something that tows my Jeep this well it's hard to beat. Just hit 125,000 on my '10 today and I haven't had the first problem.

nice choice on the Overland. Let me know if you'd like some help on the lift when you get around to it. I also live on Mt. Island Lake.

This is what I my wife drives. It doubles as our tow vehicle:

'06 XK Limited HEMI 4x4 - 2" Rough Country, Spidertrax spacers with JK Mountain Edition wheels, (5) P245/70R17 BFG Rugged Terrain T/As (31s)

Adam-

I may take you up on that. I got my quote this morning on the lift and spacers, still haven't decided on exact tire choice. I'll pm you when the stuff comes in.

I just traded in my XK. Great platform. That lift is an afternoon in the garage install. I would steer clear of the poly spacers as well. The front settled a lot in a 2 year period.

http://www.kendatire.com/en/automoti...uck/klever-mt/ in the 255.75.17

Ran these for the price and they were aggressive but quite. Sorry for the derail

Stage one of the baby hauler is complete . I spent the weekend setting up the wife's Overland with some little mods to make it more capable as a "chase car" on the local wheeling trips we go on. Stage one consisted of RC 2" lift, RC 1 1/4" wheel spacers, 32" tires, and red painted calipers. Still drives like stock (maybe a touch stiffer), but she loves it! And just like the TJ, we are already eye-balling the next round of upgrades . A wish list would look like a carbon fiber ram air hood, some black Racelines, window tint, an LED bar, and possibly a custom hidden winch project. First I have to sell all of the take-offs from the Tundra and WK (per the wife), then we'll see what comes next. Fun to have a blank canvas again.

Some shots of the weekend's work:

Before:

Getting it apart:

32x10.50r18 tires mounted up:

Nothing like stripping down the new car to the bones:

Spacers and lift:

Front on.... not my favorite thing to squeeeeeze in:

The wife insisted, so how could I argue???

Rear buttoned up, ready for tires:

Front finished as well:

And the After. I'm really pleased with it now:
