Dammit! I just read this (which antagonizes me even further)...

"Spectating: We are asking for a $20 donation per spectator. Hammertown promises to be bigger and better than ever in 2013. All racing action will begin and end in Hammertown. There will be two live jumbotrons. Vendors open during the day and one food vendor open 24 hours a day. There are port a potties in Hammertown. To fully appreciate everything that King of The Hammers has to offer, spectators should purchase a $20 writst band for access to hammer town. This cost is a donation, and if spectators simply wish to come out and watch the race, they are not required to pay. However, this money goes towards keeping Johnson Valley open to the public and the cost of putting on the event." -From the Ultra4 website.

And I missed this mornings race!

We've been hard at work the past couple days and it's really starting to look like a real race car now

Jay and I ran up Chocolate thunder today, also did a little of sledge and jackhammer. Plan is to get up early tomorrow morning and take care of the last few little details and then go pre-run some more desert and a few more rock trails and then we'll get ready for race day.

Going to be amazing just to finish this race so we are going to do our best to keep it together and under control and just do whatever we have to do to get through this rough stuff!

Rough stuff equals fun stuff
The best part is that our combined hillbilly suspension tune really is working pretty darn good. Run some desert early and then we'll head out to Wrecking ball for some of that hard rocking

Also talk with Jay about hand signals for spotting and winching since he has a hard time hearing us with the helmet on.
Josh, post some of your pics up bud

Big shout out for Dan the man from Ruff stuff. His weld shop has been open in Hammertown 24/7 to all the racers at no cost to them. His CNC plasma tabel running at full speed to keep everybody welded and gusseted up and all of that for free. Wanted to weld it your self no problem as soon as a welding machine is available, you can go to town. Now that is standing behind the sport where your customers base is, on top of all the great stuff they make.
By the way Johny did you pencil some time in yet to make it pretty again?
After running around at the Californian desert strip mall she ain't gonna be so pretty anymore and will be in need of a facelift

That was either me or Mikey, the biggest issues now are keeping the front axle in one piece and the lack of hydro assist which makes it a whole lot harder on the driver to stay or get on the line you want. Other than that the Jeep is pretty well spot on
