Curious about this as well, I assume it will be bolted or located with some pins and just held tight with clamps, it that the case?

Not sure if I posted these, but another shout out to Clayton Offroad! I was rocking my stock motor mounts from 2000..... so with 6 races and hundreds of trail runs, they were about due for a replacement .

Clayton Heavy Duty 1" motor mounts to the rescue!

Bleh, what a pain dealing with windshield. I ended up have to go Hulk Smash on the glass followed by hours of torching, peeling, and scraping. Finally got it cleaned up then hit it with some primer and a layer of Stone White.

Picked up from RightSide Performance:

Cleaned up, ready for paint:

Body matched. Ready for wet sand and clear coat:

You guys have your work cut out for you

Jay are you planning to use any sort of plastic in that windshield frame or running it like that?

And if I added 400 more hp and triple bypasses and had them tuned properly and had a few hundred miles of desert break in and if my wheelbase was a little longer I think I could get up around there too .

That is certainly eye opening to see a mod class over 100mph, and what is even scarier is that they have a driver who can maintain that speed in John Currie.

No glass, no plastic. No one runs it.

Gerald's just running King reservoir shocks and coil springs. But the other parts are true, he probably does have close to 400hp on us

You never know what will happen in a race like this though and Gerald isn't unbeatable. There are a lot of very good rigs this year, yours included, that will have a chance at taking the win.

From his build:

I'm not making excuses, my jeep isn't built to go 100mph. However it is built pretty strong and our plan will be to race it that way. ;-)

Hmmm.... going over the Ultra4 rule book again and I may have confused a stock rule with a mod class rule. Whoops, all of Sunday's efforts may be for naught.

No windshield frame required in 4500 class.

i didn't realize how tall the savvy jeep was. That thing is pretty up there cause my 3 link mounts up front are in pretty dang close to the exact same spots and his have a significantly steeper angle.

i think i need to read through his build and get some go fast ideas
