Ordered a new toy for the jeep today

I had been shopping for GoPros, but came across a unique deal and decided to jump on it. I got a Swann Freestyle 1080p HD camera for the front bumper. The number one reason for going with it is because it comes with a remote control to turn it on and off. Before, we would lose up to 30 minutes of battery life and storage due to sitting in the staging lines. Now I'll just have my co-driver click record from his seat!

The reviews were very good: better than a GoPro, not as good as the GoPro Hero2. I saved about $200 over the Gopro Hero2, so I'm ok with that.

Buy it off WOOT? I saw it earlier today. I debated on it, but I think I still want a Hero2

Yep! I couldn't justify another $200 for the Hero2. Plus, this one comes with a remote, which was a huge seller for me.

I don't think I posted the final picture of the steering- Ironman4x4 HD track bar with Carolina Truggies custom mount. It moved the bar down 5" which should get me all of my down travel back:

The jeep is basically complete at this stage. I can drive it to South Park mall today and then go race it on Saturday without any changes. Hard to be unhappy with that.

If I had to get extremely particular, one last minor change I may have corrected is the driver rear coilover tab. Three of the four coilovers have 2" of lowering adjustability, but the driver rear is completely maxed out (unthreaded), so I can't lower the rig at all. The current height is perfect for going fast, but for daily driving and rock crawling, I would like to be a little lower, so that tab will have to be re-worked. Hopefully that is fairly simple.

Current ride height:

Auburn ECORS race is in 3 weeks and URE is having a race in 2 weeks. We haven't committed to Auburn yet, I may just do the URE event to save some cash. It's about to get very expensive, so anything I can save now will help towards the end goal (KOH). That being said, the more seat time the better, soooooo......

The Great American Park (Auburn race location) is an awesome place to wheel, if you get a chance to go, I would highly encourage it.

They have been very good for several years on my jeep, I have been really happy with them. I've been researching highlines recently though, my tires are all in the tubes now, so I believe it is time to go up.

Let me know if you plan to be at the auburn race and i will try to make it. I would love to meet some fellow jeep forum members and see the jeep that has inspired so much of my very slow build

Just noticed the photos are missing from the beginning. I'm honestly really disappointed! Going back through and looking at the progression always gave me hope for my build..... any chance they'll ever be back? Even in a short story/readers digest/condensed form?
