Mmmmmmm......

The rig is low and tight- total lift now is 1 3/4" in the rear and 2" up front. Antirock on tightest setting, and tires set at 21psi. I'm sacrificing up travel and don't have my airbumps in (too much work travel), so it is what it is at this point. But I can confirm it drives extremely well. Had it up to 75mph on the way to the gym tonight with no vibrations.

I'll post some pics of it in a bit. It's too low for my liking regarding rock crawling, but I think it will be perfect for this weekend's race.

Nope.

They are going to require some work on the rear and I just ran out of time. Im actually looking for some 10" shocks just to use for the weekend....

I didn't get the spacers on (I don't have them yet), so, here it is as close to ready as I can get it. I'm hoping to add wheel spacers and shorter shocks by the weekend, but if I don't, this is it ready to roll:

Thanks guys! Another quick update-

Greg Slade (manager at 4Wheel Parts in Raleigh) has been a huge help yet again. He's sending a pair of Pro Comp 3000 series shocks to me for a hell of a deal. Their measurements should give me 4" of up travel in the rear with about 6" of down. This is just for this weekend, but considering my current shock bodies are so long, these should be a great little band aide until I can get my Profender Resi's on.

I rather have a rig like that than a jeep lifted to the sky. I like it.

Currently 04 Sahara: 3" BDS lift, 9500 BDS Monotubes, Flowmaster Super 44, Olympic Rocker Guards, 33" Duratracs, 15x8 Black Rock Blades.

Just measured: 19" to belly up pan, 24 7/8" to bottom of frame rail.

I also went ahead and had it weighed today: 4040lbs! That includes my sub, amps, carpet, soft doors, and a 3/4 tank of gas. So without a driver, I could easily get this thing to under 4k!

Of course I'll be adding more weight with the cage additions, spare tire, tools, etc for bigger races, but for this weekend it should be as nimble as it will get. Also, my DJ helmet and Pro Comp bandaide shocks arrived:

Talk about last minute....

Picked up some Spidertrax spacers today (thanks Schwabe!)

Decided since I was adding spacers, I might as well rotate the tires (and rotate in the spare- it's been 500 miles). I know I should have added my 2 extra jack stands. :

Next up was taking out the old shocks:

All out:

Good comparison of the old busted BDS 12" vs the new (temporary) Pro Comp 10". I had to go shorter since it was lowered:

Installed- twice as much shock shaft showing now. No bottoming out on pebbles!:

Well, I think that wraps it for prep. Now I just have to pack up the Hummer and trailer and we are off (tomorrow morning). I may still play around with some camera mount options tonight. We'll see if there is time.

Nice and wide:

Damn sexy! Good luck with the race Jay, hope all goes well and you kick some *** without breaking too much ****

Can't wait to see some new race vids.... since I've technically become an official web wheeler and haven't touched anything other then pavement since my jeep is still not ready.
