People do the hybrid case so it will bolt up to the 4l60e/adapter and they can keep their jeep VSS and SYE
so does the S10 Transfer case have a VSS that i can use. i don't have a SYE
Ive searched the forum and web for answers and have read loads of builds.

thanks again for the help i just want a smooth swap with out the trans or transfer case leaking.

I can't remember off of the top of my head right now but I don't think so. The 231C would have a GM style. Keep in mind you will need a VSS to supply your Jeep speedo (if you are keeping it) and you need a separate VSS to supply to the GM computer, preferably before the t case so the gear reduction doesnt mess with it. The Advance Adapters kit that i used takes care of that, but if you are gonna use the stock GM spacer you will need to machine a spot for the VSS to thread into.

Sorry for the derail WhyJ.

Stacy
A 231c will bolt up to the 4L60e. Then use the stock Jeep speedo and a VSS conversion box to get a signal to the GM ECU. Keeps you the hell away from Novak and their crappy parts.

Didn't think about converting the signal to the GM 40 pulse.

This is for a manual. For an auto if I were keeping the stock gauge then I would use the chevy VSS and convert the signal for the jeep guage.

Ask all the questions you want. It is the reason I posted the thread.

You nay want to consider building the 231 while you have it about. I have some info on that in the thread along with how I kept getting leaks and why.

Thanks WhyJ
I will start a build post soon just waiting on the lease to get approved, hopefully by the end of the month.

the plan is to use a 231C as i don't have a SYE on the jeep but we will see.

This thread and Randonexplosion's thread has been a huge help and I want to say Thank You Guys for posting the information for all to use.

Great looking build, if your wifes not pissed with the project your not trying hard enough. After 27 yrs it takes a lot to piss mine off, she has seen more hotrods with blowers thru the hood, tube frame buggies and motorcycles than can be counted, they tend to just block it out after the 10 yr point

We are just this side of 10 years. I think this May? is our 10 year anniversary.

She ignores me now and just noods and says oh really? when I ramble on about one of my projects.

Picked up a new Bestop Trektop NX for a Tj and put it on last night. The brown Santa has some toys for the Heap that should be here on Thursday.

Until then the boys and I have been enjoying the nice weather.
