50 series flowmaster sounds good on acceleration, no loud drone in the cab, quiet at an idle.

I've been looking at walker quiet flow mufflers for my SBC set up. I am so over the flow masters. If that doesn't get me quiet enough then I'm going to put in some hi flow resonators as well .

Isn't 2.25 a little small?

Not for true dual. I'm sure I have less than 300 hp. No need for 2-1/2. If I had a cross over to single exhaust then yes.

I have been driving the Jeep the last week or so and nothing fell off. It has been running great. I got the shifter boot on and wired in the Dakota digital box to give the ECU a VSS signal and it works fine. The boot bolted up in the stock location and I mounted the Dakota box under the dash near the fuse box to keep it dry.

I did notice that my temps are a little lower with the manual. I think that the auto added some heat through the rad along with the extra cooler in front of the rad reduced some flow. So I am happy about that.

Overall the Jeep is a blast to drive and I am very happy with it. I will be going wheeling for the first time in over a year this weekend so the boys are pumped about that. I don't have any plans for more mods till this fall/ winter.

I'm glad you're not pissed off at it anymore and everything seems to be going good. I just added a pic of my rig to my build thread that's sure to get a laugh!

I didn't have to anything, the 5.3 and 4.0 are relatively the same weight. The 5.3 is slightly lighter but my suspension sits the same as it did before the swap.

Can you go run it on 1/4 mile track? I'd love to see a vortec Jeep stacks up to other vehicles.

Gotcha. I swapped from 2.5 and shocks bottomed out.

Then you will need to upgrade to a 4.0 spring and shock.
