Project "Maturity"

I wasn't going to do a post but I thought, what the heck, this would be a good way to catalog my first Jeep "build". In my younger days I had a brand new 1999 Cherokee, but as youngsters do , I traded it for the latest and greatest. The things I would do over if I knew then what I know now. So at age 40 I've matured (a little lol). Anyway, I bought a 2000 XJ with ~130,000 on it. Needs some work but I'm looking forward to making her a thing of beauty.Give me tips and advice, it will be appreciated! I'll update this as the build goes along. A few pics of what she looks now and what I've done thus far:

I've welded new floor pans in and seam sealed them:

Replaced the tie rod ends:

Was blessed with receiving a "donation" of four nearly new Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires:

I replaced the sway bar links as well as the old were shot as you can see here:

I've also replaced the rear gate lifts as they were shot. Put new plugs in. Replaced the driver's door catch arm. I sprayed rubberized undercoating in the interior to seal it from the elements until I decide exactly what finish I want to put inside. Getting a new belt for it this weekend. Shocks and leaf springs are desperately needed soon! Looking forward to feedback as I go, thanks!

Changed out the center console latch today. Doesn't close like when they were new but not sure what I can do about it. Everything appears to be in its place.

Well, ordered a new EVAP core and heater core today. Plan to pull the dash Friday/Saturday and replace them. Anything else I should do while I have the dash out???

Well, finally got around to pulling the dash and putting in a new heater core and new EVAP core. What a chore that was! Also took the time in the garage to go ahead and change out the steering stabilizer. Very thankful for my father in law and brother in law for the help

Changed out the drag link today. That was the last piece of the steering "ends" that needed swapped out. Accidentally tore the rubber boot to one of the tie rid ends though so not sure if the whole tie rod end needs replaced now or not. As soon as I can change out the two U-joints that are at the axle ends I'll get her aligned.
