Changing my previous skid idea. Taking that piece of 40x20 and making a smaller engine skid, as well as a smaller rad skid. I ended up purchasing the barnes offroad flat skid. Figured it'd be easier, stronger and its fairly inexpensive.

Lookin forward to seeing you utilize that skid..... I'm thinking about buying one also. How rigid does it seem with just the bend edge?

It seems very very strong..and heavy. 1/4 steel is heavy haha and with the bends its even stronger. Barnes also makes a brace kit(I belive its 25$) which I could get eventually if I bend it or think it needs more strength.

theyre very cheap, you do NOT have to cut a 4" hole for these lights either just drill 3 bolt holes and good to go. I think they look awesome, I night shaded them and now they look even better. I love litedots but no way im paying 200+ for lights that have a horrible reputation for burning out. If these were to burn out..id be fine with shelling out another 15$ for a new light haha

alot of stuff will be happening in the near future(4.88s, new frame brackets, triangulated 4 link, 3 link front)..but no one seems to care hahaha

Also thinking about buying a full gusset, sleeve kit for the hp30. As well as making a mini truss.

Well ill be buying another DD soon so I wont have to rely on the jeep everyday. Im sick of the hanging rough country brackets. I was thinking about going with the clayton 4 link rear brackets as well as the fronts(still radius) for now until I come up with a better idea for the front..gotta play with some numbers, I already have the truss so ill be buying axle mounted 4 link kit. As for the lockers..idk. I doubt ill be keeping the aussie up front, the carrier will be such a weak link. The 8.8 in the rear will stay with the powertrax(possibly super 8.8 in the future). Im looking to tuck the jeep sooner rather than later. Especially now that I have the completely flat belly skid, tucked(kinda) gas tank skid and some other goodies going on the jeep. It shall be fun.
