What kind of mpg are you getting on that little gay car? I sold my '99 Durango 5.9L V8 and bought an '07 dodge caliber forr the same reason, but it isn't quite getting the mpg's I was hoping for.

Right now the purple nurple gets like 35-40mpg and I drive it like a retard. I drove it about 200 miles since Saturday and its just over half a tank. We went up north on Sunday then to work and back all week and its 35 miles round trip to work. Only thing it needs is bigger tires it turns like 3400rpms at 70 on the freeway haha.

I did use the jeep today, had to move the jeep so parked in the street then parked the car in neutral and pulled the parking brake and it felt like it grabbed and it was stopped when I got out and 10 seconds later heard a thud.

Oh, and I'm trading some wheels for a Chevy 350 and a th400 Thursday. I am going to try to turn around and resell them but if I don't, I am having dirty thoughts about a 383 stroker like my old chevy k10 but in the jeep. The th400 is a 2wd tho so I have to find a 4wd tail shaft. Then run a Chevy tcase or get an adapter for the 231. This will probably take over a year to do since I plan on going to moab next year but we shall see

if you do decide to go with a 383 id swap in an s10 231 tcase since the chain on them is bigger and it might bolt up easier.

I'm probably going to sell the th400 and get a 700r4 and run an adapter if I do the swap. I'd eventually like to run my d300 and dana 70s

The th400 is only a 2wd trans so I'd have to track down a tail shaft and the 700r4s are cheap and plentiful and from what I am reading they are just as strong. If I can find an adapter I will keep my aw4 but it seems advanced makes one with a similar pattern but no one can confirm

Keep the 4.0L. Turbo it and be different!

Ah that makes sense. My 87 currently rocks a 700r4 and it's held up fine so far.

You did an SBC swap on yours? Man where have I been..

I picked up the motor and trans tonight, all is there. The engine had been sitting with the heads off so its gonna be fun getting those pistons out.

Been awhile but I sold all the SBC stuff and looking at getting a bigger truck right now. Jeep will be going up to 5" on the spring for better up travel in the back. She goes in storage tomorrow but I have ideas brewing in my head for what I want to do to it come spring haha

It starts with a new tire I sliced the drivers front last time out I'm not sure if I'm gonna get a new tire or a tube for the current one. The 2500 ram sold and now that the dak is almost paid off I'm looking at just going back to school and making a bigger truck my goal for completing college
