Well it was nice out yesterday and I have thought about doing tube doors for awhile now so I did the doorless mod. I used to be able to do 55mph no problem but I took it for a test drive after taking the doors off yesterday and I get death wobble no matter what over 35mph now. May have to add a steering stabilizer because it is fun and relaxing cruising doorless. I went cruising around today for fun. Reminded me of cruising in my old 99 2 door. I followed heavymetal's write up on the pre-97 hinge cut. Only ***** part is going to be getting the pins out of my passenger door hinges.

"washed" the black one, theres a guy coming to look at it tomorrow and possibly buy it.

I am going to mock up some tube doors tonight or tomorrow, if I get enough for my black xj, I am considering buying a full set of warrior tube doors but I doubt I will, I am to cheap. I dont want half doors because I like the breeze my legs and feet get and wheeling in the heat would make tube doors totally worth it.

Guy backed out but I still got some interest in the black jeep. I've really been enjoying driving the thing doorless, kind of considering looking for some 16.5" wheels and getting some 37x12.5 military surplus tires for street use to cruise doorless in the summer.

And not going to say for sure but a buddy just finished turbo charging his xj successfully and he said if I buy the parts, he will help turbo mine.. I've heard and seen his drive and all I can say is holy ****

Does iron rock have any motors they want to get rid of? I'm looking for one for a shop class.

Hoping soon, money is tight and the jeep needs a new steering box, going up next weekend to get my old rolled xj and I think the box is good on that one so money saved there. Still might go wheelin this weekend but so far its not looking like it

Thanks man I have had the thought of swapping everything to the black one since its not as rusty but all I gotta do to get rid of the rest of the rust on the white one is cut out the cargo area and make a new floor. That will come when we get a new house where I have a garage to work in.

Anyone had the windshield wipers stop working on their 96 xj? I've read up that they are not fused but there is a circuit breaker deal under the dash and I can't find it. Going wheeling this weekend and its supposed to rain. Gonna stock up on squeeges if I can't get them working

I just had a similar issue with my '92, but I'm not sure if it the same for you. Do they not work at all? If not then check the relay on the fuse panel. If they just work on high or low then look for the wiper delay module. I just pulled mine and then plugged the connectors on the wiring harness into each other. I don't have intermittent wipers, but it restored high instead of only having slow *** wipers.
