Not going to add too much as far as updates untill I can get the ball rolling a little faster on things, more than just gathering parts. Most updates will be to the first two posts, keep a look at those for changes.

After getting some bad news about my Dad last week, it's pushed me to find the time/money to go up to my Dads more often, using the Jeep as a chance to work with my Dad, this may be my last chance to build one of my projects with him. So I was up at his house the last two days working on the Jeep getting what I could done.

I took a tip from you TJ guys and your fading flares to restore the cab vents

'Cept I used a heat gun

Now for what I really got done the last couple days:
Got the drivers side carpet pulled up to get a good look at just how bad the rust was.

I was a bit surprised at the difference in the MJs "frame" compered to the XJs. It looks like the MJs "rails" are fully boxed, unlike the XJs that use the floor pan to box the frame in.

Brake booster, master cylinder, and all the brake lines up to the axles pulled, got the clutch master cylinder and clutch line out, fuel lines and gas tank pulled, and the bed has been completely unbolted, I just need more hands to move it.

The left overs:

Another thing I like about the MJs

XJs don't have this, and I'm curious as to why I haven't seen any on add them to one. XJs use 2 mounting holes on each frame rail to bolt the crossmember in, these brackets add two more bolt holes in the crossmember and bolt into the rails and floor pan. I plan on using these.

XJs and MJs have 3 nutcert holes in each rail, for the different transmissions, and placement of the crossmember. The front two are used with the BA5/10, and the back two are used with the AW4. My old TNT Customs belly pan used all three, and it makes a bit of a difference in chassis strength. I plan on using all 12 mounting points with my belly pan.

That's awesome news!!! Congrats! Great progress on this build. I hope that it is a great excuse to spend plenty of time with your father.

New job didn't work out, not exactly happy about being let go because they didn't have time to properly train me(openly admitted to me, and apologized for), with underlieing tones that I was muscled out by a former employee that was pissed that they hired me instead of offering him his old job back.

On the plus side, I've got a hook up on parts now, I hate that I have to deal with 4WP to get it though.
