After a week I have the roll cage done.
Here is some pics of it almost done.

Bad Pics of it painted and set in the jeep.

And of course as soon as I get it outside to take some good pics, the freezing rain starts again. It took me long enough to get it thawed out to get the cage in.

A pic of the dusty console. It houses the CB, a dome light and externel CB speaker.

A few more pics.

And with the hard top on.

I had to make the side kicker bars removable for the doors to close, but otherwise the top fits perfect.

Sick JEEP!!!

NICE JEEP, I wish I had the skill to mod my jeep like that. I was wondering if you could post a pic of your Hi-Lift mount and some info on how you mounted it. I am trying to figure out how to mount mine inside the tub, I don't have a back seat, but I'm getting ready to put a subwoofer box in the jeep, in place of the trunk. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Justin

I used 2 race car weight clamps for my hi lift. It clamps around the roll bar, here is a link. http://images.speedwaymotors.com/RS/...ct/91046_R.jpg They work great, and can hold 100lbs each. I had some left over from my race car days. I would build a sub box from wood in your trunk area and mount your high lift to the top if it. Cover the box in carpet for a nice finished look.

I just built the sub and speakers into my storage box. I does have a divider sealing the sub from the drawer part. No specs really, Just built it as I went. I does have killer sound though. Have no problem hearing the tunes with the top off. All the pics I have are posted through out this thread. For the do it yourselfer on a scale of 1 to 5, building it was a 2. Really easy to do.

I love the way your dash looks, could you get any driver side pics (as in sitting from the driver seat and a pic of the dash)?

Just because I could and had some extra tube, I made some tube doors. I don't know if I will like them, but I figured if I don't I can always sell them.

I made a simple latch, It's just a 1/2" pull pin with spring. If I end up liking the doors I might change the latch to a better one, but this will work for now.

I'm in the process of making some soft skins for the doors, for rain or mud. It might keep a little of it off. I have an old soft top that was ripped, so i'm using that. They will snap on to the doors, easy on easy off. Will post pics of them when finished. As for all of the stainless gussets, I have a bunch of stainless sheet laying around, and am trying to use it up.
