Hey Dukie, I got a guy right seating with me this sat and he is coming up from calvert co. I'm going to just drive up to rausch that morning and either meet you guys at the gas station/Burger King or you all will catch me on your way up. I've got Chucks cell number but if you guys are collecting/exchanging contact info let me know.

WOO HOO 1st Honey Badger Wheelin sighting of the new year.

not much new to report. Bought a home Friday and moved this weekend, so I've been VERY busy.

I did pick up a Skid Row TC skid off a guy from NAXJA when I was up at Rausch Creek with a bunch of guys last weekend, so that'll be going on soon.

Also have a set of TJ rear flares and a NIB rear main seal i'll be getting from a local friend of mine. I see no oil leaks in my future!

no leaks in your future. HA HA HA.
I like the build, overlaps with many of the plans I have for mine. (and many mods already done).

haha no kidding...i feel your pain. Those were taken at the Chesapeake City Levies up on the MD/DE border.

Only real places to wheel around here you have to go up to PA, like Rausch Creek or Trails Rd.

I sent you a PM.

some updates. Replaced my drivers side u-joint this weekend, and changed out the front diff fluid while I was at it.

Painted some stuff - d30 skid and Skid row TC skid i picked up off fellow jeepers

Front Gears look great - fluid came out pretty clean

Something is missing

Skid installed - axle paint touched up

Some old guy said he wanted to help

Stripped the hood letters, repainted them black - looks WAY better IMO

Oh, i had grabbed this cupholder out of a junkyard XJ a few months ago - cleaned it up to sell and installed it just to check it out - i think i like it. Way sturdier than the other style that attaches over the ebrake. Wouldn't trust more than 20 oz drink in it, but works great for cans!

update time!

Went to a cookout beginning of the month with a crapton of Maryland XJ Jeepers. We went to a 4-wheeling spot nearby afterwards....LOTS of mud/water. Not my favorite type of wheeling because it drives my electronics crazy, but fun none-the-less.

So summary - beginning went fine, stock MJ behind me got stuck...pulled him out...
got to a river crossing - made it across fine (very deep!)
MJ stalled in the river - tried pulling him - no luck.
XJ behind him tried to go around and failed - got high centered
Tried to pull him off the ridge - got stuck myself in the sand.
MJ got restarted and drove out of the water and promptly got stuck again
I unhoooked the XJ and dug out from in front of my tires, hit the skinny pedal and blasted out of the hole i was in
pulled the MJ out again
then went back across the river.

Pics: http://s968.photobucket.com/albums/a...te%204-2-2012/

First time across - remember i said it was deep? Cowl Snorkel came in REAL handy

Yankin on the stalled MJ

Now i'm stuck...

Not that bad though...

Back across the river

And oh hey! A Video! (The sound of my horn after I exit the river is priceless!)

also started talking about paint and such with a couple guys...thought i'd throw this up here since I posted it there as well...

this is the plan with paint/lift/wheels/bedliner (no bumpers/rack yet)

(no lift/tires in this pic)

Dude, after looking at those wheelin pics, I quickly come to one major conclusion;

Someone in that group needs to get a freakin winch.

hehe

And that color scheme you are looking at is awesome.

Oh, ok. Just saw a whole hell of a lot of strap towing going on there.
