Well after lots of thinking and lots of searching, I haven't found anywhere local that I can wrench on the Jeep myself. I think I'm going to take it to M.I.T. Drivetrain, the shop I talked about a few posts back
. They're even featured in 4wd magazine
I think I'm just going to have them get it running, finish up things like the harness and make sure my motor is still in good condition. As far as getting it street legal and what not else, I'd like to do all of that myself. Whether it be in my parking lot at home, or at a shop using someone else's tools. The main hurdle here is to get it running and moving under it's own power. Then I can quit towing it everywhere.
To answer some questions, Mike i really like how you mounted that box to the fender, I'll have to try and figure something out using some junkyard pieces like you said. Jim, I've gotten plenty of inspiration from your build, keep up the good work and count on me ordering some parts from you
Dave, I've picked up quite a few parts since I've been back. I've slapped the easy ones on in the storage lot, but they don't really like it so I have to make it quick whenever I'm there. Hopefully that should change once I get this thing in my parking lot! Mallard, my build sheet on post #1 should have a decently up to date list. I think the total as of right now is around $11k. SKT, here it is!
