Negative, I'm working Saturday at my day job then at the fab shop Sunday Monday. We're prepping a bunch of rigs for our Death Valley run in April.

Death valley to Vegas? I'm in. I worked out logistics to get dropped off in death valley and picked up where ever.

Classic...going to sell our long-travel Rhino and other toys for a Jeep.
Looking for info and I found this thread...with a video of Dom and Craig, some guys I know of from the DTX website.
Are you over there, too?

I've got a Carli-suspended Dodge Ram, want something similar for a TJ but not a ton of info out there.
But I know it can be done, if done right.

Our group rides reasonably fast, I need to be able to keep up.
50 - 60 mph in sand washes is what I'm looking for, looks like I've come to the right thread.
It's gonna take me some time to read up on everything...awesome thread.

Yo pron that's my jeep in the videos with Dom anf Craig . I'm on Dtx ( hodualsport). Ill be takings keep out hopefully next weekend for a test run with my new valving if you wanna check out my wannabe jeep speed build. Also have the fab shop in Fullerton where the jeep is currently at. I have a lot of hours testing jeep parts in the dirt. Much like our rams shocks are huge, let me know your budget and myself and a couple others can point you in the right direction and help get you dialed in

Right on, it sorta figures if anyone was wheeling a Jeep in hardpack at high speeds, the DTX crew would be involved

I'd love to come check your Jeep out...we'll be in Cal City next weekend, but we can figure something out for another time.

And I'd definitely like to pick your brain to see what works...and what doesn't.

The wife is tired of the cold when we take the Rhino out, and honestly I am, too. But since I've got +6 boxed A-Arms, custom-valved Elka Elites and dual-rate springs (plus a built motor so it moves), it rides like a Caddy and I need the Jeep to as well.

I'm sorta leaning toward something like this, waiting to hear back if its still for sale:

I'm thinking I could put a few grand into some Kings (or maybe save a few bucks and go with Fox's) and hydro bumps, and probably ditch those 37's for some 35's, and I'd be set...what do you think?

That's def a nice rig with a lot of good stuff on it. One of the first things I would do is stretch it to a unlimited or LJ wheelbase. It will give your jeep a lot more stability. Then put her on a diet and beef up the front axle.

Yeah one thing I can't do is stretch it. I need it to fit into a 14 -foot toy hauler garage. A stock TJ is nearly 13 feet, so I'm right up against it.

Right now it's a waiting game, need to sell the toys before I can pick something up. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

How do those Fox shocks perform for you? I'be spoken to a few guys who are having a hard time getting the valving right, but not sure if Kings are any better...gonna depend on the experience whoever is dialing them in, I guess?

I know Savvy races with Kings but sells Fox...weird.

My fox setup with bumps was a game changer. I'm having Wayne at all tech do a revalve. He prefers the fox shocks for the jeep stuff. 2.0 or bigger with a resi. I still have a long way to but the little jeep can scoot.

What's your weight rating on the hauler. My jeep weighed in at 4300 dry little fuel. The jeep will never be as smooth as the rhino but it will take good abuse and surprise me how it handles rough terrain. You gotta come out with us on one of our Mojave runs.

The toy hauler we're looking at has a 4,900 lb. carrying capacity, so I'm going to have to keep the "heavy" mods to a minimum LOL

I'm thinking something like this may also be a good starting point, but we'll see what's available once I sell all my junk.
