Thanks!

I am saving for some 35's right now so it will fill in the empty wheel wells. 33's are not cutting it any more.

here is where I was before:

(blue circle is where I can now get to with the brackets)

here is where I can get to now. that blue circle is there as a reference:

and some more:

I tried doing it in reverse but the rear tire kept wanting to climb the wall...

Then I threw in a stock isolator leveling it out some.

an some cosmetics too. finally got the back retinted to a 5%

Okay SO I got my new Brake line installed and my new shocks installed!

I mean look at the difference

also believe it or not Butter is what I always use to instal bushings. why you might ask?

1) biodegradable
2) Cleans up easy
3) doesnt react or harm any bushing
4) any excess will melt away in the sun
5) cheap and available
6) works the best. I can install even the bar pins by hand..

I think you are tall enough and have enough tire to pull off a stinger. To me, that's what it takes to make a stinger look at home. This is one of my favorite stingers TNT Customs Stinger/Bumper but if it were on my Jeep as it sits....the bumper would be writing checks my XJ couldn't cash.

Thanks for the feedback!

I would be adding on the front bumper. I mean 3/8" 3x6 steel is nice to have.

I can get one for about $60 shipped and just weld it on, I have a winch mount ready to go too but need a winch....

Also need 35's that I should be saving for

UH!!! I need my front brake lines to come in soon....

altho my 1ton dodge rear brake line works wonders!!! it is 6" longer than my yj line and 9" longer than stock. direct bolt in. This is at near full droop

and It seems as tho my new shocks were measured right too! you can see the passenger side one is near perfect compressed length and the drivers I think is near full droop

Picked up 2 Grand Cherokee Upper Control Arm Bushings because mine disappeared... I have about 10% of the bushing left so the bar is smacking around in the mounts... How I dont have death wobble I dont know....

Grand cherokee bushings have the solid bolt sleeve where the regular cherokees have a big bolt sleeve that has little bumps in it to center the bolt.

also did a quick shake down run (which is where I found out my bushings were bad). nothing to hard just something to shake the bolts loose real good so I can do a final torque

So I took the new ones and drilled them out to 1/2" hardware because of these....

only 1 hour to instal one side..... I will go in the morning to instal the other side....

These things are the biggest pain in the *** to change....

Alright So this is how I replaced my UCA Bushings.

First you take your control arm and remove the bolt:

then you put it up and out of the way:

then you take your All joint press and pop it out: (mind you on the drivers side I had to use a 1 5/16" socket on the end to push it all the way thru)

then once removed set your new one in:

and then press it all the way in:

and once it is seated bolt it all the way back up: (i drilled out the "bumps" and then used 1/2" hardware on mine)

Install time was just over an hour on the drivers side about 20 minutes on the passenger side

also found some new rock rash!
