Project Black Sky

Since joining the forum Thought I would show you guys my build thread.

It has been a 3-4 year progression. So I will give photo updates and hope you follow along. I will give stock specs and post up current specs at the end.

Well back in aug. 2006 I bought my cherokee from my cross country coach for $2000. It was bone stock with 123,xxx and had every receipt from anything done on the jeep.

1996 jeep cherokee, HO 4.0, HP D30/CHRY 8.35, NP231, 3.07's

gave it a sound system

Diamond Audio HEX components in the doors, and Rockford Fosgate Subs in the rear with a very nice kenwood deck!

got some tint on the windows and tested it out as a stocker:

I needed a new cat so i redid the whole exhaust in the 2.5" flavor

It was time for some new rubber;

and I wheeled it... and broke it

so took it the shop and had Big Bill weld it (i was still learning and didnt trust myself enough to do it)

Then it was time for some new cleats. 15x8 with 4" bs

with the added back spacing it was cutting my tires and tearing the fenders up while wheeling

so i trimmed (young and dumb cinder blocks)

time for some new gauges

and a PA system

welded a ball hitch all the way thru the bumper for a tow point. and made sure it was welded on both sides

attempted to bore my own throttle body:

had to get a new one and the JY only had a 94 so i had to improvise on the MAP sensor location

drilled out a zerk fitting

big bill showed me how i should have done it...

made a new butterfly

then did the cut and fold
