I've got a new addition to the jeep coming in the mail tomorrow....finally pulled the trigger on a winch. I've been putting it off, but after wheeling Redbird more and leading trail runs I finally decided it was necessary.

we wheeled redbird this weekend, it was crazy, had the jeep on its side for a bit on trail 27 (which is f-ing epic btw) luckily it was in a ravine so i was able to drive out of it. I should get a video up here fairly soon. It was a great trip.

Went wheeling this weekend, the badlands was nuts. trail report: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f58/b...heros-1059527/

Recently I've added an xrc8 winch, actually used the hell out of it this weekend, worked like a charm, also relocated my rear coils - it is probably in the top 3 as far as jeep mods go - it made a huge difference on the road and an even bigger difference in the whoops at the badlands, I was easily able to go 20-25mph thru them.

I need rear corner armor now, smashed in my tub right here, not sure if I got pics of the damage, but I rolled into that big *** rock beside my jeep

ya, you know you like it smoke - maybe I'll paint the jeep plaid

speaking of painting....I want the jeep to be pretty again....I think now that I'm not driving it everyday I'm gonna pull the front fenders and repaint. Also once I get corner armor, paint those along with my rockers and tubes silver, get a 2 tone thing going on. I think itll look good and will give my jeep the look I want. I plan on doing it all rattle can....so Rod, get ready for me to cash in on my wedding gift....thats right, I havent forgot We'll talk more this weekend

You can go **** yourself if you think I'm going to spend the time to do this to your Jeep

No rattle can, WAY too big of a surface to do and make it look right. Since you aren't trying for a specific color of silver(IE color match), you can go with something simple like Dupli-Color Paint Shop Paint - Brilliant Silver and Dupli-Color Paint Shop - Clear Coat, and a cheep HVLP gun from Harbor Freight. HVLP Gravity Feed Spray Gun(I'll go half on the gun with you, but the gun is mine). You will end up with a WAY better looking paint job. I will warn you, there are little things like sand paper, masking tape, cleaning solvents, etc. that add up costs, that will be needed either way you do it.

My only request, is that I have your help for everything but the paint work. Sanding, masking, cleaning, etc. Same goes for you Connor.

No problem. I'm torn since I hate to spend that much time painting something that will just get banged up anyway.

I don't remember how your corners mounted up, but if they were counter sunk, prep work could probably be done in an afternoon. Corners can be painted on the Jeep, just have to spend some time masking everything off.

Countersunk bolts. I can pull one off in less than ten minutes so that's not a big deal. I'd really rather do them off the Jeep.

If we are going to have this many Jeeps getting painted, we might want to look into a better quality gun.
