party's 06 rubi lunch money build

Been out of off roading for a while decided to get back into it and maybe get kids to go along with dad. Bought a 2006 tj rubicon. Thought why not buy the best out of the box machine i could afford. Plus factory upgrades hidden into payment. Have installed 1 1/4 in seat spacers. Awesome upgrade wife loves it more now But advantages are more comfort more visabilty. Only down side is stuff falls between seats easily lost my phone under seat for day haha. Also drake off road grill insert black.Like the look and the added radiator protection is a huge plus. Have lots of dents in radiator Cheap 10$ roll bar grabhandles

Build update Got new moog track bar installed. Front end aligned. Had bad bump steer. Way better now michigan roads really bad this year. Made a off road flag mount out of some spare steel and got a used off road flag for 20$. Attached at bumper bolts for easy off on. Blacked out headlamp bezels. Found some flat rust oleum in laundry room and got her done. I suck at painting and still looks great. Also did a powerstop rear brake upgrade w/extreme truck tow pads. pics Will be upgrading front soon

Got 1 1/4in jks body lift installed.Amazon $125. Great product like how it drops over existing mounts and pucks are solid.Unlike other brands. Fairly easy install.Would be difficult if jeep was any more rusted. Can't install shifter drop bracket for t case due to bushings torn on body mount. Think some one else already cobbled. Dealer quoted me nearly 100 for the bracket (bushings not sold ). So after some jeep forum homework have decided to purchase advance adapters t-case bracket to eliminate body mounted bracket. Quadratec $32 free shipping.Looks like no 4wd till part delivery. Also did not want to trim fan shroud may go with electric. Fan clutch is bad anyways and its half the price of fan/controller to go electric. Plus like option to turn off for water crossing.Sounds like a good enough reason to upgrade anyways.

Almost forgot before body lift. I installed rugged ridge black gas door cover 40$ amazon. Thought about returning as construction seams kind of cheap but looks great fits good not great. If your really picky then don't buy but for me price/value it's great. Got adjustable door straps 4$ amazon. Have to wonder why they don't come for factory like that love them opening farther for easy entry/exit and can shorten for parking in lots.Painted home made off road flag mount with rest of flat rustolem. Not bad for some metal laying around shop. New hood prop rod clip dealer 13$ boo. Had to get prop clip cause rod has been rubbing plastic rad tank so slapped some epoxy on rad tank still no leaks. Pics looks good in the setting sun

2in bb installed new door handle rims tommorrow

Finally got 2in budget boost installed. Trailmaster switched out bump stop extension pucks for extended hard rubber bump stops. Only you need pucks to install rear lift. So 25 more bucks for pucks off ebay w/ bolts only bolts wrong thread size so trip to bolt bin and bam lifted. Was very easy didn't disconnect trac bars just jacked up all the way and held springs compressed with spring compressors. Put 2 in bump ext ft / rear will recheck with new tires wheels.

New passenger door handle was very rusty 20 amazon. Only took three trys to get a good one. Had good luck with depo products before but got one that wouldn't fit next one broke installing and third times the charm. Not oe quality finish but for 1/5 the price looks great to me. pics

Shifter bracket

Woke up to snow this morning. Booo. Jeeps sliding all over on the ice with no 4wd. Slow at work so got the advance adapters t case standalone shifter bracket fairly easy install wrong studs just reused old. Studs not long enough will see if they will send new ones. Found some bad frame rust after removing skid. Did some paint work. Was really bad between frame skid. pics
