Stage 1 update:
Well, I think it's safe to say that I've finalized the parts list for stage 1. Hopefully I can start ordering parts very soon.
The list:

-Sye and cv shaft: Savvy package.

-Control arms: Metal Cloak.

-Front and rear track bars: Stock replacements and a JKS CV rear TB bracket from Qtec.

-Front and rear sway bar links: Zone extended links front and rear.

-Shocks: Bilstein, but still subject to change.

-Front and rear brakes: Black Magic front and rear kit.

-Motor Mount Lift: Brown Dog 1" with rubber bushings.

-Body lift: Daystar 1"

-Transmission Pan: Mopar deep pan from Summit.

-Speedo Gear: 33 tooth speedo gear from Qtech

-Replacements for the forward upper control arm, front track bar, and rear track bar bushings from Qtec.

I think that's everything, but something's always popping up.

Savvy GTS pronto.... after seeing your stock one. haha. poor thing! Seriously though it's a good upgrade, with the body lift it's perfect. That would be high on my list if I was making a list.

Savvy GTS... Don't worry. It's on the list, along with a set of their step rockers and the UFC Ultra High Deep Cover System in aluminum. But that's stage 2. Need to take care of all the mechanical stuff first before I start dropping money on bling.

Don't worry, That could change real quick when I pull off the current skid off and realize I want nothing to do with trying to restore it. I'm trying to stay positive though. Trying...

Pizza and Beer Thought of the Night:

After watching way too many Ultra4 and KOH race videos, I have the need for speed. Who wants to team up and build a race Jeep?

X2 , I think out what I am doing and have somewhat of a gameplan ,but a good deal on an unneeded part can derail that in a heartbeat .

Andy I feel for you having to leave Joshua Tree . That is some beautiful country , with so many trails to run . One day I will be there in more than a rental car .

Can't wait for the parts to start rolling in man! I just put a UCF skid on my rig when I did the long arms from Clayton. Very stout, I'm pleased. Only issues are I hacked abt a cubic 18 inches off of the corners so that it would fit with the brackets moved closer together on the frame. And I tried installing the engine skid and it straight up will not work with the 3 link I did. There was some swearing when that was discovered... But with your short arms you should be great all around!

Some pictures from Saturday. Didn't get a chance to work on my Jeep, but we the got a bunch of work done on Kate's(KateKGB) Jeep.

Kate

Tyler(redrelyt12)

Myself. I'm the slacker laying down on the job.

Our solution to hold the hub while breaking the axle nut.

Comparing stock with the ZJ and Currie tie rods.

I ruthlessly stole one of kate's wheels for a what if shot. Not bad with 33s and Moabs, would need some more lift though.

Hopefully next weekend I can get my ball joints and steering done.

Right on! Your's will be a snap with it all fresh in your head now. Good on you for selflessly helping out a fellow Jeeper when you had your own parts to install. I'm sure Kate would have understood if you did your's first and would have just as happily helped out as long as you got her chrome hood latches on.
