Sweet. We'll get another shot at a Jeep convoy.
The more I read about it, the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival would be pretty cool to attend considering it's multi-day with a ton of events. Only thing that would suck would be the logistics involved, especially this late in the game. I'll have to think more on it, but it's nice to see I'm not the only one interested.

Yep- I built that parking lot. It is beautiful.

Also- I would definitely be down to take a Friday off of work and head down to Bantam. It sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

Future Jeeping

I've decided that a Dana 44 front axle, chromoly shafts f/r, and a pair of ARBs are in my future.

Well...This is more of a long term(with in the next year or so) goal, so I haven't really nailed down the specifics yet. But, I was thinking I'll keep my eyes open for a used Rubi 44, and if I don't find one I'll look into the possibility of getting one from G2, ECGS, or maybe even Currie. As for axle shafts...I need to do some more reading on what's available now that Superior gone. But I have been looking at Ten Factory since there prices are decent, but I haven't seen much on there long term durability.

I'm not sure if my Jeep is worthy of such an honored axle. On a serious note, does his axle even have the stock brackets anymore after all the work he's had done? If not than it would be a no-go for me.

So, it's been raining, and rain, and raining some more, and just when I think it's going to stop, it keeps on raining. So instead of working on the Jeep today, me and my Dad packed up the fishing gear and headed out. We didn't catch anything record breaking, but we didn't do to bad for the couple of hours we where out.

The catch of the day. Why can't they all be this big?

It was definitely nice to finally get out and get a trip in this season, but I would have much rather have been working on the Jeep. I haven't been able to really touch it in close to 2 weeks since we seem to be catching the tail end of every storm that pops up in the plains. Good news is it should be sunny and warm starting Sunday.
