Good Christ almighty would I love some Currie steering. However like I said. My apartment comes first. So I'm guna grab a steering setup from a zj. That whole system will work with mine right? And its significantly beefer till I can drop 500 on currie

There are other ways of adding belly clearance without lifting your vehicle off the axles...like 40s, 42s, 44s, etc

Yep, the draglink is the exact same as the TJ, bolt in. The tierod is much beefier and takes the same tie rod ends.

Then that's what I got to do. The funny part is I have a zj just sitting doing jack **** except ageing. Ripe for the picking with a nice beefy drag link right in my drive way. Buuuuuut its my brothers. Even tho it hasent been driven in 6 years. Hill ***** if I take it. Sooo time to start junk yarding

Update!!!

Georgia got her steering redone, complements of a xj. And I got a hard top!
Traded my old schisty soft top for this bad boy. Made out like a bandit. **** you Chicago winters!! But I am guna miss my soft top....


But wait... what's that??? I have a brand new one in my girlfriends attic from her old tj?? Sweet Jesus!! Lol.

Other than that the hard top does need a repaint. But what color??? Hmmmm. I kinda like that tan...

SOB! Keep that color! Honestly, the sailcloth top i have is great during the winter, but i would love a black or tan hard top. Damn good score!

You have a nice looking Rubicon , lots of good solid work so far . And I vote for keeping the tan hardtop .

Thanks man! You have no clue how much hearing that helps. When ppl say it looks good and such it makes the thousands of dollars I've spent seem not so bad. And yea. Its staying tan. I'm repainting it this weeknd

Oh. BTW. B2carpen. I took a page from your book and did a nice Russian alignment. Came out great. No DW or nothing wheel is straight and drive great. Just a wrench and a tape measurer.

juat sold my hard top that i traded my old soft top for for 750... then got sad and bought a new hard top in better condition for 450 4 hours later... hahaha
now i need to re-cut out a wild side logo.... also found a guy willing to trade his set of 35 mud rovers for my 33 bfgs!

Sick deal on the tops! I kinda wish I didn't sell mine, but I don't have a great place to store it, and I don't need to DD my rig, so the soft top should be good enough and the $$ was nice!
