Are you fabbing your own engine mounts? Or are you buying a set? The engine is looking great. Once it's done you've got to get a video posted.

Here are three pics from jeff daniels website. My mounts are identical. The mounts will require a trimming but nothing the normal person couldnt handle.

I don't have a Cummins yet, but it's in the overall build itinerary. Nice brackets!

Tonight i had a little extra time and got my oil drain cut, re positioned , welded and painted. It wasnt that hard. My welds arent anything to write home home about but they will hold.. then cleaned my aluminium turbo side and painted it with VHT aluminum color paint. Looks great.

Wow, that hard top looks 100x better with a coat of paint!

Looks like you're taking your time to get this thing running right. You'll be happy with the final product!

I agree the hardtop looks a lot better. It took some prep though.. there was so much wax on that s.o.b. it took me a whole day and a complete bottle of prep cleaner to get it clean. Then three coats of satin black.

Thanks for the compliments fella's I i will have more updates tomorrow afternoon.

.. I know I'm late but sometimes on a stuck bolt or a rusty bolt Heat up the area as much as you dare.. And stick a birthday candle to it let the wax migrate into the pours .. It'll work when other penetrates don't. ''SOMETIMES''.
..................
... Good job on that weld on the manifold. I have a 4BT in my 1972 Bronco and lover it . I'm in Texas and I do not even run a fan .. It stays about 170 or so. If I'm stopped idling in the pasture Then I do have a cooling fan I can switch on .. Even in 100+ temps it'll cool it right down to 140 or so. I only use mine in the country checking cows an hunting around in the pasture so I'm in 4 wheel drive about 50% of the time .. My Mileage is only about 15 .. But that is so much better than the 4 mpg on gas and overheating in 20 minutes too 250+.
...........
... You'll like it I'm sure.

PAPITT,
Thanks for the candle idea. I havent heard of that one. I am sure there will be more than one bolt on the jeep that wont want to come out.

Do you have any pictures of your Bronco. My parents had a 79 Bronco that they GAVE away because the rust wat sooo bad. To bad at the time i didnt care about the Bronco.

I plan on running either an electric fan like the ford tarus fan or a fixed fan to the motor.

Any suggestions on fan choice i am all open to ideas.

Everyone i need help tracking down a used YJ arb snorkel. I really dobt want to spend 400 bucks on a new one.

Back when I was building this bronco I worked at a Chrysler Stealership. So I got lot of pull offs .. My Cooling fan is off a PT/Cruiser . It fits my radiator perfect . It was one that was pulling too much amp-ridge, But I just installed it with a larger fuse and it has ran for 2 years .. Those were good square cooling fans about 17 in or so . and I really think they have a 2 speed fan on them . Most of the times only one side of the fan was bad.
