Thats what I'm doing...don't fear the turd.

I've been going strong for a few months waiting for it to blow. Once it does I'm going with ford high boy Dana 44's front and rear.

Nice build you've got yourself!

Last May I found 4 35" BFG A/Ts with 1k miles on them for $375, went and bought 'em and re-built the TJ over the summer to support them. They still had the little frilly things on top. Sometimes we need to cater our build to parts available at the time... but I certainly understand not wanting to for the gearing/axle. I had an 8.8 w/ 4.10 on the way so I wasn't as concerned.

Yea I agree. Pretty much my entire build has been based upon seeing parts for a good deal. Like i was gunna get some diff covers, but then I saw a warn d44 skid for $30 so now Im goin that route

Installed a 4.0 tb today. Helps enough to be worth it. Looking for some 33x12.5s

No kidding? I've been considering this for a while. Noticable difference, huh?

Ya I still need to test it on the highway. But you need to bore out the intake manifold to match the tb to get best results.

Ya, use a stone grinding bit on a dremel and mark out the area that needs to be ground down.
