Found a great Craigslist deal on some half doors today. $300 for the doors with soft uppers and new set of mirrors. They have no rust, no dents, and no damage on the inner pannels. They have been sitting in his shed for a few years and are really dirty. Alittle clearing and they will be perfect.

Progress got really slow the last few months. Moved and had to do alot of work on the new place. Still have a few house projects left but have been able to put some time into the jeep last week. Since I had the front end ripped off decided to clean, sand , and paint the front half of frame and firewall. Did the frame with por15 and the firewall with some Eastwood spray rust encapsulator. Was happy to not find any holes in the frame once I started wire wheeling.

Was starting to clean and por15 the drivers front frame and decided to remove the steering box to paint behind it. To my annoyance the 2 bottom bolts that bolt into the frame started to spin fee as I was taking them out. The "nut" broke free from the inside of the frame. Had to cut open the frame weld in a plate and some new nuts. Also found my first hole in the frame in the area as i was hammering the bracket free. Welded up a plate to fix the hole and welded the the top part of the frame I cut off back. All fixed but took alot more time then expected.

Have had alot of progress the past week. Closed up the frame for the steering box. Grinded and por15 the whole front 1/3 of the frame. Installed all new brake hard lines and flushed the system. Started putting it all back together so I can bring it over to my friends shop to get a custom roll bar made. Was able to get it together enough to take it for a test drive around the block. It's been almost a year since I took it off the road and it was nice to get in it again. Forgot how much I missed the truck.

To do list: 1) grind and seam seal the bottom of the tub welds from the new floor boards.
2) Clean up one or 2 small spots we missed of welding in the tub.
3) spray the raptor liner
4) bondo and prime the boatsides
5) put back on the front fenders
6) install urethane body mount (stick height ones)
7) then take it for new roll bar.

Once all that's done I can start the paint job and axles. This list might never end.

Spent the last few days working on the inside of the tub. Sanded any remaining small rust spots, hit them with por15, grinded any welds from all the new panels, coated all the new floor boards and boat sides with brush on seam seal, and touched up some primer spots. Also hit the whole inside with a cordless drill and wire cup to prep for the raptor liner. Tommorow I plan on hitting the whole thing with a quick scuff and then clean it. Hopefully I will be able to spray the raptor liner tommorow and the start reinstalling the interior on Monday. That's the plan atleast.

Was supposed to start working on the tub this morning but got side tracked installing a teraflex big brake Kit in my brothers JK. Huge difference between the new rotor/dual piston calipers and the stock set up.

After a ton of scuffing, cleaning, and masking the raptor liner is sprayed. Makes it look so much better. The process of spraying was very easy. Glad i did the spray instead if the rolling. I think it makes it look alot smoother. Only issue was the vent hole in the gun would leak if I tipped it to much while getting into wierd angle places.

Spent the day putting the interior back in. New roll bar is next. Hopefully bring it to the shop in a week or 2.
I bought a brand new rampage center console and turns out it doesn't fit between the new seats. Guess its going up on craigslist. Will probably just paint my stock console black and replace the missing lock. The dark green just isn't going to work.

Picked up a set of 35" used tires today. Have alot of tread left but a tiny bit of dry rot starting between the treads. Just has to get me through the winter till I get my 8.8 and 44 finished, then going 37". Surprisingly big size difference between these and my 33". Can't wait to see them on the truck.

The treads have a couple nice size chunks taken out compliments of rausch creek. Plan to get them mounted on Saturday.
I barely clear the garage door right now. Afraid I won't make in with the new tires.

I purchased a set of rancho 44044 waggy springs. Time for alittle stretch

Speaking of stretch! Not exactly a upgrade to the YJ but picked up a 2014 unlimited yesterday.
