As promised...read through the build. You, sir, have a gorgeous Jeep. Very similar to where mine is going (sans the silver)!

Hopefully it didn't bore you to death!

Thanks man, thinking of painting it soon but I have not decided on what color yet.

That's my wheeling buddy Bandit. (one armed bandit..) We actually don't get much done, mostly beer and BS.

Dropped the Driveshaft off yesterday. Shop had to cut off the slip yoke. Taking measurements tonight to make sure it does not need to be shortened.

Looks like my only clearance issues with running the high steer will be the PS sway bar and finding a new place to mount my steering stabilizer. Not too bad

Assembly day! got a couple more inches out of the DS and they re-sleeved it with a lot thicker tube. Hopefully this one won't bend.

Holy Hell. Spent half the day working on my brothers new to him 98 Cherokee. 187k on it and everything is rusted. Sucked.

Got the steering finished on mine. Any comments, concerns or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So happy to drive it again! Only 5 weeks on jack stands this time

I can't tell from the pics, but make sure the tie rod doesn't come up into the pitman arm at full bump cause that would not be good. Also you may have a little bump steer since your drag link and pitman arm are at slightly different angles.

Good work though man!

You mean drag link and track bar?

Aug. 9th to Flat Nasty. Not sure how I am going to get the recommended 500 miles on the gears, since I didn't even put that many miles on it last year. Pulled the sign from a farm dump behind my parents property, longest 2 mile hike of my life carrying that.

I still have about an inch of clearance, but I will check again at a loading dock before heading out.

On the different angles, I am still searching for a solution to that. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

Thanks!

If you don't drive it down the interstate then you are perfectly fine with what you got. Hitting a bridge bump at 80 mph is scary as hell with bump steer. Only way I can see to fix it is a completely custom track bar but that is alot of work.

Also to get on the same page, when I say full bump I mean both sides full stuffed. I'm telling you to check because that is where I had issues and I had to limit my travel so that the tie rod doesn't go banging into the pitman arm. But I have roughly 2 inches of stretch in the front
