Keep us updated on how they handle it.
The boot ripped at smorr, then I have let it sit since then. The guy at TW said it was my fault for letting it sit and they will seize after a few hours if the boot is torn. I could send it in and they would help me with the cost of a new one... Not pleased with their warranty so far

Welder advice.

I only want to purchase this once. I just want to confirm the Hobart Handler 187 will work for suspension/fabrication as I get better. Found a used one near me for $400.00 and would appreciate any advice before I go pick it up. I learned to weld using a stick welder, but it cant be that hard to switch right?

That is a good machine that will serve you well . At that price you can get all your money back later if you decide you want a bigger welder.

Awesome! I am picking it up Saturday. He took $375 and included all the clamps, extra wire, cart, extension cord etc. Its been 6 years since I picked up a welder, hopefully it is like riding a bike.

That is a great deal. You just need to have some practice.

I'm optimistic. The guy called me and said another buyer was interested, so I picked it up last night.

Almost back together. Just need to weld on the PS Johny Joint and ream the teraflex knuckle for heims. Hopefully have it done this weekend.

The ECGS axle overall was great. I have to admit though, I was disappointed they didn't even bother to put in new bushings. If I was not replacing them with JJ I would be pissed. It was so dry rotted that it came apart when I tried to press it out and the sleeve was a PITA to remove.

The axle looks good , but I am also surprised about the bushings . Before you cut off the passenger side mount make a template so that it will be easier to line the JJ tower up when you weld it up .
