They are great looking & functioning wheel...

I was able to air down basically to less then 5 psi & wheel it in the snow (video attached on previous page)...

the only negative backset - price... especially when you scratch them for the first time...

No, I decided against going with Highline kit.

Just original parts with RuggedRidge 7" flares...

Truck-Lite LED

I have seen these LED lights a bunch of times at the SEMA show & on couple of cars, so really like the idea of running all LED lighting on my truck, thus decision was made to go along with TRUCK-LITE LED.

So might say they arent all that great, but heck... I love them...

BFG KM2 35x12.50R15 / Hutchinson Rock Monster Beadlocks / Dynabeads

Figured give a little feedback on the tires/wheels/balancers...

So far everything has been great.

I dont think I have to talk much about KM2 tires, everyone knows how great of the tire they are... and I have yet to wear one out, so I might be tempted to try another one out...

p.s. One thing to point out for anyone installing these themselves at home (as I did)... per directions, they suggest to install the internal beadlock prior to putting in the actual inner wheel part...

I suggest otherwise (my personal opinion), due to ease of the installing the actual wheel into the tire with beadlock out of the tire. Install beadlock AFTER the inner wheel been put in.

rear winch bumper...

from the start plan was to have a winch-receiver type of setup for the winch, as I had done on the XJ.

Liked the concept, liked the idea, just didnt like having to carry that heavy thing front/back as needed.

What is better than a WARN winch???... of course... 2 WARN winches...

so now its a matter of fabricating a rear winch bumper.
have seen a lot of other great setups, but not many to my liking on Wranglers.

Point of making everything as functional as possible, yet maintaining a great esthetic look, as not too cluttered, and keeping the departure angle at its best...

Off we start...

cut off the rear cross-member to be able to tuck it in as much as possible...




cut the tub section in order to keep the winch as I wanted to...




with a little work, had put on a winch plate on some square tubing & secured it to the frame...



get things welded up & move on to the next step...

this is where we stand as far as dimensions...





next step is to get the tire carrier bracketing done, and have some tubing to be done for some tub protection.

looks good I like the idea of tucking that rear winch up. im going to just mount mine to a receiver so I can move it from vehicle to vehicle

being able to move it to another - great idea, while it is necessary...

in my case, most likely, on my own will be for the most part...

and my previous experience showed that I use the rear more then front... anyways, work in progress... LOL

anyways... for those who is interested...

I guess this will come out to look really close the the MOPAR ROCK CRAWLER, but with a place for a winch...



Coulnd get the tube bender to do such "curves" all at once...



so the finale is about it being like this...



figured it would be perfectly complete with a tire carrier.
1/4 inch pipe worked out just fine...



putting couple of nice curves into it...



a little personal touch...

rear bumper... finish line...

while testing things out...

my front driver u-joint figured it would take a "dump" on me... well, not sure if I am to blame the failure on the accident & impact that specific wheel, or just that its 60k on the odometer and it was time for it to "go bye bye..."



anyways, added a mounting brace on the rear door...



took a rear bump stop (meant for an XJ/YJ type setup), cut off the very top layer of the rubber, which yeilded exactly 2 inches of space to perfectly fit the 2" carrier tube.



run to a "motorsport" type store... got us couple of heim joints. Really like the idea of the carrier opening & closing with the rear door, plus by locking the rear door, you locking out the rear tail gate as well...



OPEN



few more finishing touches before its complete...



Functions just fine, as I hoped it would... I figured this was just fine for a first rear winch build of mine...

and a finished product...
