New Wheels and Tires

Well, I have sufficiently healed from the crotch kicking from fellow posters regarding my recent purchase of Thornbirds...SEARCH the forum prior to buying tires is the lesson learned. That being said, I have photos to post since I am proud, nonetheless, of how the little rubi turned out.

Before pics

After pics -

I had a blast with my two boys (6 and 3) making the after photos. Now, every Sunday on the ride home from church they want to "go to the woods and play in the water, daddy." Who can say no to that???

By the way, I think the Thornbirds did pretty well in the crud.

Next is my 2"BB and probably new shocks. Shock recommendations that don't compromise my silky like factory Rubicon ride?

When I previewed the post the pics showed up without links and I posted it and there are just links. Did I do something wrong?

You have to have 50+ posts and 30 days on the forum.

By the way, who flung poo all over your rubi?

Nope...sold them...sorry. For your reference, I sold them off this forum in the classifieds for $550 shipped to IA from TX. Cost me about $80 or so to ship them.

Flung poo...that made me laugh out loud...

(After the "thornbird incident", it would probably be mean to tell you you could've gotten twice that amount for the moabs with tires on ebay.)

BTW, Nice lookin' Rubi!! I'm kinda partial to the blue/khaki ones!

What did you do with your old rubi rims? They'd look good on my sport.

Thanks man...I really like the look of your rig...nice and clean. I need to paint my headlight surrounds like you did.

Thanks. Also, I bought the black replacement rings for 20 bucks and kept the stockers in case I ever had a change of heart.

Hey, at least you goofed on something that wears out pretty quickly, my first car was an S10 blazer that I put a tube bumper on. I eventually fixed that, but its not like your bumpers wear out with mileage...live and learn.

Jeep looks great to me...enjoy it.

Well, it looks great.

I wish I could get the blue in my jeep to shine like that. That rubi is MINT.

Looks excellent! Plus, you got a couple of buddies to go wheeling with too. That'll create some good memories.
