Been working hard on the LJ... got the rear all linked up and sitting on its own weight. Ran into a set back with the front axle. Come to find out that you cant run an aftermarket locker in the JK 44 front. There are no bearings that are a match for the I.D. of the bearing cone and the O.D. of the race to make it work. And even if there was you run into the problem that the factory locker has an offset center pin and you would need custom inner shafts. Looks like jeep redesigned the wheel lol. The only aftermarket option is a 35 spline ARB and RCV's. Which Im not looking to drop that kinda coin on right now so I'll be grabing a factory JK e-locker. I got my tires in last week, 37x12.5x17 Kevlar MTR's. And I got the paint stipped of my beadlocks this weekend (P.I.T.A.!!!).

Nicktarnow - no plans on a winch quite yet, there will be one someday after we fab up a front bumper. No idea what its gonna be at the moment though.

NEW UPDATE: So I spent pretty much all last weekend stripping the paint off of my beadlocks and got them back down to their original diamond cut aluminum finish. I would have liked to keep them that gunmetal color but they were all chipped up and it was a custom mixed color. So I decided to powdercoat them, which left me at the shop untill 1 am last night lol. They turned out good though. I also got my shock bodies back from anodizing yesterday so I'll probably start assembling them friday.

wheels all stripped

wheels hanging on the powdercoat rack

wheels powdercoated

2 5/8 and 2.0 shock bodies anodized

Its not to bad actually, the skid is like 50lbs and I managed it by myself (start one on each side and the rest of them just fall into place) and the bolts are 1/2" so they arent tiny. It only took me maybe 5 minutes to put up.
