Just a little update: I put a call in over to Tony (great to deal with) at GenRight today and I've got my tube fenders and aluminum corners on their way. Also have my front JK dana 44 housing on its way and a set of shafts for it... just have to find a few more parts for the front end. I also scored a set of 17" raceline beadlocks today. Its coming together.

Another small update, just waiting for stuff to arrive, ordering gears and my front e-locker tomorrow, pretty much all the welding is done on my rear axle. Tonight I got the spring mounts and the swaybar mounts on it the only other thing to put on it is the shock mounts but we're going to wait untill its in the jeep to put them on.

Its been a while since I updated this build, just been busy with a couple other projects at work. I've got my raceline bead locks, got my axles all welded up and painted, got my gears and new yokes, waiting on my front locker and then I can get the axles complete, and the only thing left to buy is tires which I might have a line on a set of 37" toyo m/t's that i might go with over the new mtr's. The LJ is back on stock suspension and rolling. Putting it on the trailer tomorrow and getting it down to the shop. I should have some pics of new stuff up tomorrow. Theres a lot of work to do but this thing sould really start rolling soon, stay tuned.

Just got the LJ down on the ground once again. I tossed some stock TJ control arms and springs in it and a dana 30 from an XJ. Im going to get it on a flatbed tomorrow and get it down to the shop so I can really start this build. The stock LJ rear dana 44 is being picked up by its new owner thursday night so I need to get cracking.

It looks pretty funny now...

Heres the new to me Raceline bead locks...

And the JK 44 rear all painted...

And the JK 44 front stripped welded and painted...

More to come soon.

good progress. I'm also installing JK axles under my LJ

hey I see you have 5:38 gears in the boxes. what size tires and what trans do you have? If you are running 37s with a stick. I think the gearing is incorrect! I'm probably going with 4.88s or 5:13s at the most. I would recommend the same to you as well

Not really with a .69 overdrive ratio, 5.38's with 37's ill be turning around 1800-1900 rpms at 55 mph, from everything i've seen people over gear the 42re because of the overdrive ratio. Guys running 33's with 4.56's and 4.88's were happy with those setups on the street so i think i could still use more gear if it was even possible. But we'll see when its done.
