I'm claiming victory over that damn diff cover. After a lot of grinding, and some more grinding.... and some more. And some more on the GTS, and then loosening the GTS and using a pry bar and then retightening it to get that extra 1/16th in. I finally have clearance. Unfortunately I ground a hole in the damn thing haha. So I'm taking it off..... gonna add some material from the inside, make it pretty again and this ordeal will be over. WOW.... sometimes it's the easy things.

At that point it was lucky it was attached to the jeep.... or it would have been thrown out of the garage into the street. All is well though.... It's back on and playing nice. I'm about to roll the jeep out of the garage, wash it, and drive it to work today as a little shake down. THEN some actual wheeling tomorrow. I should have some good pics to post up.

I think besides picking up a couple spares, this thing is MOAB ready. I'm going to keep the wheeling trips between now and then to a minimum not only to save money, but to also avoid any potential breakage that could mess up my trip!

When you said you were using 760 ujoints for the axle, did you mean Spicer 5-760x ujoints?

Thanks man, she aint been cleaner or newer underneath, since new. I noticed that the front tires look a lot more straight up and down after backing into my parking spot at work also. They always kinda got a gangsta lean to them after backing in and turning into my spot that I shrugged off as no big deal........but I guess it WAS the ball joints. Glad to see I tightened everything back up.

No man, sorry. Not that I don't want to. It's just a little further than I feel like going tomorrow. I've been thrashing this week all my spare time working on the Jeep. I'm planning a relaxing short wheeling day with my son in a little play area only about an hour from home, gonna do a little shooting, wheeling, eat at my favorite mexican place on the way down........ Kinda have it all planned out. I'll catch up with you guys soon though. Maybe even a Sierra trail run????? I could host the **** outta some trail runs up here from mild to wild.

Have fun tomorrow though! Post lots of pics! I want to see whatever updates they've done to the man made stuff.....

No worries! We hope to plan a Rubicon run or Slick Rock run. Maybe a High Lakes trip this summer.

Please include me in these plans! I'm looking to branch out into the more northern trails from my area. And if you are ever looking to head a little more south.... I've got about 10 trails with your name on them.

I'm game for that! I'm not afraid to travel a little. Hell, I'll be driving 4.5hrs tomorrow just to get to Hollister! I'm trying to convince the wife to drive to Moab next year! So far I'm not having a lot of luck, lol!
