I tend to neglect the house and work on the Jeep , which leads to an angry Kimbo . Over the next three weeks , I will get the house and the trailer project caught up .

I second that!! My DD is ready for some new struts... But instead the jeeps accessories get rewired, jeep gets details, and I sit and stare at it all unstead of working on the commuter.

Nate why not run the Dusy from Kaiser pass? It's a lot further, but the wheelin is much better. Don't remember thompson hill to be very challenging

Took some time to adjust my exhaust for the flat skid, it worked out well. I basically just cut one of the cat support arms in half so I could more easily manipulate the hanger in my vise to the orientation that let it sit neutral in the mount and also set the height to center it between the tub and the skid. Then I just welded the hanger back solid and reinstalled. Overall vibration at idle dropped significantly! I'm very pleased to have the power train sitting in a state of neutrality!

Notice where I cut and welded and also notice the mount looking pretty happy in its rubber bushing.

There is an air gap between both the cat and the muffler between the heat shield.

My buddy thinks the exact opposite for some reason???? I've never done either side so I'm good with whatever. To be honest I still just want to go to the hammers instead, haha.

Yeah it seems OK now. I'm still going to get the cable shifter because I just don't want to deal with it not shifting well on the trail, since I have that Tera-Low I shift between 4hi and 4lo quite a bit. But were good to go for now until another bit of Jeep money get's saved up! I've got a front driveshaft and this cable to shifter to buy, and my next really fun mod will be the Duroflex joint swap. The Jeep is ready to wheel as it sits though.

I don't recall how your CA's are setup, but are you gonna have to weld all new barrels on your arms to accept the Duro joints, or are your arms already threaded to accept a complete unit?

I'll be able to just thread them in on one side. The other side will be a clevite bushing. I'm going to see how that works out. If I do decide to replace the clevite with duroflex I'll be welding on new barrells.
