It's a long ways from Texas. We have a place in Crested Butte, Colorado that I wish I could get the Jeep to also. Someday I'll have a tow rig.

I've noticed the tow rig / trailer has really opened up my wheeling options. Even for stuff that's only a few hours away. Having the rig on the trailer really reduces the stress of having to make sure it's drivable to make it home. Just gotta meke it back to the truck! It hasn't changed my wheeling style, but it's nice to know you don't have to drive it home.

I agree, trailering has some definite merit

I miss having a tow rig and trailer , but I go to more out of the way places when I am not towing . Its a conundrum I tell ya !

I think a balance between both is good, sometimes traveling in the Jeep and exploring is more fun than seeking out the more extreme stuff, I plan to drive to the Rubicon, spend some time in Tahoe and drive back around. Should be a good time, and ill just keep it mellow and enjoy the drive.

I've been to Tahoe 3 or 4 times actually. Love it out there! Wish I had my jeep with me when I was there.

Gonna be THE wheeling trip of the year for the JF build thread crew. I'm really hoping even more of the regulars / well known builds show up. Hendrix, Imped, Sundowner, just to name a few. Plenty of time to plan, I
know after how much fun we had in Moab, it will be well worth the effort!

I think after this years trip being such a great success, it will motivate the other builders to join us next year
