Primed the rock sliders, roll bar and steering shaft... I'll be painting them tomorrow. I decided to pull the alternator and paint it with Eastwood's alumablast wire wheeling it didn't last.

I was just looking at my post and realized the roll bar extensions are sitting in the garage.... Extra work in the morning...

Hehe...I wondered about that. You gonna add a spreader or header bar in there?

I'd like to, found some online that bolt right up, but they are very proud of them. I just want the front cage and 2 bars down center. Maybe a vender will read this and cut me a deal for some plugs....

The more I look at your avatar picture, the more think mine will look like yours...I might have to add a dozen more front lights.... besides, it might help my blind *** see at night

Got the roll bar and rock sliders lined, also been using my vibrating tumbler to clean up bolts and nuts...which I'll need to powder coat.

You'll have to roll yours and warp the tub if yours will look like mine. Your jeep is going to be polished. I may have to see it next time I head down I35.

I've never used the lights for legitimate offroading purposes. I use them to watch for kids in our neighborhood in the evenings or deer on the early morning commutes. I did the $20 Harbor Freight lights and they are bright and have yet to fail. (I can't see dropping $150x2 for Helas)

Not one bit of triangulation in that whole design, and the shoulder harnesses are mounted in the worst way possible. That seat is not designed to handle the force the belts would put on it on a front impact and can cause serious spinal injury. I wouldn't consider any of this.

So, I guess this means I don't need to keep that page on my favorites list anymore then. Thanks for the info!

I told the paint shop to take their time.... Body work is done, but the hood that looked pristine had a large coat of bondo on it. Whoever did the repair previously did an outstanding job because before media blasting...it looked great. They didn't feel comfortable enough to match the job, so I bought a omix-ada replacement hood that's on the way.

It's looking like the end of next week to be completed with color.
